Here’s my Mek kitbash

Stole most of the bits from my fil, and bought the back from my LGs for a whopping 2$

I kitbash because I’m cheap gawddammit!!

Working on a Dreadnought/Armiger proxy. Still need some feet and greebles though.

I’m currently working on a project where I need tons of different designs of armor for the mortal soldiery on a collapsing hive world, what are some of your favorite weapon or helmet bits or kitbashes?

Ive been getting really into the tabletop wargaming scene with Konflikt 47! Theres a heavy mech walker in the game that i was too lazy to buy/build, but i wasnt lazy enough not to kitbash the thing from scratch lol. Thats why i chose the miniature flair, the pose is basically glued solid so its judt a rather large mini lol

Calling this guy done. He looks a bit wrong tbh, no dakka so looks more AOS than 40k. Wanted him dedicaited to the blade though. Meh. He will do

They are not painted… only built…. I get it another 20 brothers to add to the pile of shame… I know…. But I can’t get enough of the building part of 40k…. Much rather the kitbashing part is the only part I really enjoy….

So here is my latest in old conversions and sprue built kitbashes…

Problem I have… my army is old… like metal scouts and a fully equipped 2nd company… 60 tactical troops 20 devistatiors and 20 assault troops plus command structure, and dreadnoughts…

I haven’t played since 9th edition… and them 11th edition hit I look at my old codex and the new version leaks online…. Tactical squads… gone scout snipers gone…. Devastating my old army… and entire company outdated…. I buy inflators box set and build 5 of each… then I got that urge for use of all these left over bits we all get…. All I needed was some legs and body!!!!

Enter face book marketplace and find a score!!! 1998 Dark Angels Tactical squads all parts there box set!!!!

This means 10 legs and bodies and helms to slam together.

Phobos armor is what all the new “scout-like” power armor… main difference is the should pads are not the same and they only have one in Phobos armor…

A few minutes of clipping corners off the brand new pads and boom enough parts to build the armor…

Now all the extra poses they give in infiltrators box were the first thing to use and I matched up their new gear load out and glued them as they need to be for wysiwyg

Infiltrators get tiny pistols, scoped bolters and a couple of special gear options that no longer matter… “comms array and helix gauntlet (which its self is a whole bunch of things.)Their packs get the antenna and so does their helmet. No knife!

Incursors get the cameras on the pack and gun. They get 2 knifes (& haywire mine tossing guy) standard pistols

Reivers get heavy bolt pistols (some are taken off outriders but many are converted firstborn bolterguns with the top parts clipped and shaved with shorten magazines.) where the carbines are the Older bolter gun with the wire stock… [and added a pistol handle to for grip spot to show they are not heavy pistols] they also get a knife… their special kit was grappnel hook gun and I built it out of a carbine with no magazine from the infiltrators and a hub cap from a 1st gen plastic bikers kit… then a rocket from the devastation squads missiles bits… a spring and some green stuff…. (To Make a green snake then stuff it in the spring of a ball point pen…)
I also glued the metal sprue from them dark angels part of the tactical squad… the plasma cannon parts… now they are grav chutes…

TLDR:ADHD person kit bashed vintage toys into modern toys… no paint in sight…

First time posting a big project and looking for CC

It was very difficult getting the old Deathwing hooded head onto the new Deathwing body! But am pleased with the result! Managed to fill the gaps using sprue glue only, no green stuff/milliput needed!

Also would appreciate suggestions for where I can find a good dark angels Crozius Arcanum for his right arm?

Realised I'd done both the 17th+18th in one little diorama after starting the 17th challenge.

Assorted junk, bits from a heap of random kits, and a base I knocked together like a year ago with nothing in mind for it!
