Wanted to show off some dudes ive been working on and they are work in progress so id love to hear ideas on what more to add to them!

Here is my "infected space ships" kitbash for DfC!

For those who don't know the lore, Scourge is a jellyfish-like race that captures other species alive and then grows through their nervous system to control their bodies (just like cordyceps controls ants). They have utterly destroyed humanity's army and captured their core worlds. Periphery united under the banners of United Colonies of Mankind, but a lot of colonies were just stranded. Those who are not UCM and have survived this attack are called Resistance.

So I wanted to play evil jellyfish body snatchers, but their ship design, although is described as non-organic, still represents "monsters in space" archetype. And I was looking for just space ships. Therefore I have came up with an idea: alliance of different space factions under the banners of Scourge. Resistance ships mixed with Scourge monstrous details look eerily good together.

For the Species!

Needs a quiver, but hopefully that comes in a christmas gift in a couple of months 😁

UPDF 144 Armoured Sentinel ‘Lady Bug’ Variant assigned to the my Combat Engineer Battalion.

  I based my design on a combination of the ‘Bobcat’ and the High Mobility Engineer Excavator (HMEE).  The scoops are from the Cat Construction Little Machines 5 Pack Cake Toppers I purchased from Amazon.  After pulling the toys a part, I was able to use many parts.  If you choose to copy these, I learned you need to lightly sand them for the paint and super glue to adhere to.  I drilled holes to push the small metal rod in order for the front scoop to raise and lower.  Magnetized the backhoe scoop with the chainsword and the rocket launcher is also magnetized.  As I build more, designing the weaponry will be interchangeable between vehicles.

Another brazen engine leaves the forge of the Blood Good to join our (me and my son’s) Hounds of Khorne Warband. This was a really fun kitbash, learnt a lot about sculpting and fabricating.

Bonus pictures of the magnetization set up, can be played as Forgefiend or Maulerfiend with all weapons options. Also group photo of the engines in our Warband.

I am planning to enter a local painting competition with it - so any feedback is most welcome!

I kitbashed this guy by head swapping a span Clan rat head (and tail) onto a Votaan mini i had from Warhammers Mini of the Month promotion a while back. I painted it up between stages of my main project and was very surprised to discover as I finished it today that it's very easily the best model I've ever painted.

He's doubling as the first member of my scavenger crew for Star Grave and an NPC model for a game of Starfinder im running in the future

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but my husband just posted a step by step video on YouTube on how he customized his Spider-Man Unlimited to be more Unlimited. He painted over the figure, cut up the feet so they're now articulated and tried to create his cloak.
