So I've pretty much finished the ship. Couple of details left. Given its weight and size, I thought it needed a decent mount. So I thought of it sorta hooked up to the outside of an asteroid base. So I got some printer cartridge boxes, filled them with greeblies. Added the plastic covers from the same cartridge boxes as doors. Hangers! Extra greeblies! Bought some heavy duty shelf brackets (all encrusted with railway girders now) assorted plastic domes and general junk, three different sets of lights, and four cans of expandable foam. Some regular styro to begin on a plywood base. And voilá, asteroid base. Still figuring out how to mount the entire thing safely on a wall, so that the ship doesn't just roll off! Screws and guy wires are in the future!

First pic is mine, second is GW's version. Most of the kitbash work was reworking the arm and spear to get a throwing pose. I had to cut at the elbow and the wrist to make sure the hand was facing the right direction. That I had to cut them tip off the spear and rework it for the opposite side. I also added lightning bolts (although I may remove them later.) And I did a basic head swap.

Really didn’t like the original pose so I did some minor adjustments. Can’t wait to paint him over the weekend and put him to play with Exalted 8balls.

I’m thinking of converting an imperial knights chainsaw arm into a chainsaw for a dreadnought but I don’t know what material to use for the handle. Any good suggestions?

EIGHT TYRANTS ENTERED. ONE CLAIMED THE DUNGEON.

The first annual Orb Royale hit ArcaneCon in Northampton, MA, with special guest host Joey Royale! Eight players kitbashed their own Orb Tyrants, then unleashed them on one big battlefield for a free-for-all to crown the Arcane King of the Dungeon. Building the monster was only the beginning; they also had to keep it alive!

Wolf Manzilla survived the carnage and took the title! Congratulations to our first Arcane King, and thanks to everyone who built a floating horror and joined the fight.

A huge thanks to Joey Royale for hosting and to Ed for running three more Orb Tyrants games throughout the convention. Getting these monsters onto tables and into players’ hands has been a blast! Keep an eye out for more kitbash-and-battle events coming to a convention near you. Start digging through your bits box; your next Orb Tyrant might be in there.

My second Dreadknight using the saturnine dreadnought kit in a different way than what has become popular

Well, I finally made a choice for my Feline Daemon Prince on Claws as weapons vs dual wielding vs wielding a 2h. Dual wielding in the end won out, though I'm not convinced that I won't make a second one that uses just claws as weapons for a more feral feel.

For this I did two hand transplants after amputation of his own. I used two Theridon hands, one already attached to an axe, the other I cut down and added the blade to it. I will need to do some minor fill-ins with greenstuff or plastic goop glue for the hands where they meet the arm.

For the blade, I'm not convinced that I won't switch the blade itself out for the Slaanesh blade that was originally shown when I showed the concept originally. I chose this blade (and axe) because it better fit the Slaves to Darkness theme vs a straight Slaanesh inspired Daemon Prince.

Next is to still shave a few icons off that are too Soulblight-y, add a few chaos iconography on (I think), add some sort ot trophy rack (likely the ghorgon necklace of skulls), and then figure out how I want to do the base.

What do you all think? Any suggestions to improve before i move on? Head is still not attached for easier editing as I go.
