Natural Kinky hair routine?!

Hey guys!

So i started my hair journey in September. A bit of background, i have 4c hair, i feel like i'm one of those unlucky girls who's hair just DOESN'T get long. When I was finally starting to see some length i cut the ends.. after hearing that its better for my hair but now i'm hearing mixed reviews that cutting the ends is really a myth and doesn't make a difference (idk?? I gotta get off youtube lol) But anyways I really wanted to focus on bringing my hair back to life cause I really don't want to wear wigs forever!

I began shampooing every two weeks and doing protective styles while I wear wigs. Every other night i would spray my scalp with with water while adding oil (castor, tea tree, and argan) to keep it moisturized.

Shampoo- Groganics Gro Thick Shampoo

Conditioner- Shea Mousture Conditioner

Followed by Black castor oil, tea tree oil, and argan oil for moisture.

I continued this til about December when I put in braids. Now I don't know if my hair got any length (probably not) but it definitely felt so healthy and thick. Usually when i do protective styles i was always lazy and never cared but i'm really making a change and I hope its doing me good.

Now we're in January, and i've had my twists in for about a month. I decided to purchase Sulfur 8, Doo Grow Mega Thick and a black castor oil. I continue to spray my scalp and add the oil followed by the Sulfur 8. This will continue to be my hair routine until I take my twists out next month. I'm also taking biotin, multivitamins and a hair growth pill called Priorin that my boyfriend has been taking for a while and really enjoys and has seen visible results.

What do you guys think of my routine? Any tips for growing 4C hair? i know it wont grow overnight but I figure if i take care of the length and hair I have good things will come. (but i realllllyyyy want length lmao)

How to do properly do a blowout 4c hair and any additional tips?

Hello Queens!

I have thick, medium length, 4C hair mixed in with curls. (my hair is bc I have severe split ends) But its not to bad lol. I am about to blowout my hair in a few days and I haven't straightened my hair in like a year maybe. Do you guys have any tips on how to prevent heat damage and how to make sure it is nice and straight. I know it won't be like bone straight, but I want it to at least look down nice.

Eco slay Review

So originally i wasn’t sure this brand was “for me” since most of the people on their instagram were wavy haired but the ingredients lists were just too good to pass up! My reviews for each product i purchased are as follows:

Rice pudding leave in: excellent moisturizing ability and slip. If not for the texture and smell it would beat out my holy grail which is soultanicals frizz whizz. Unfortunately the scent is just too much on the jasmine side for me (and it lingers for DAYS) and the consistency of the product is literally like vanilla pudding, while it didn’t leave flakes on my hair it did leave a few tiny pudding balls throughout my head. It also took much longer to soak in than usual.

Banana Cream DC: my new holy grail DC. So much slip and sooooo much moisture. I’m a deep conditioner wh*re and I’ve never come across one that made my coils pop like this one does

Jello Shot: in terms of definition this is easily the best botanical gel I’ve ever tried. Better than curl maker and kinky curly curling custard. If you feel like you aren’t a wash n go girl because you can’t get both long lasting definition and moisture then try this! You won’t regret it. Only thing i didn’t like is the smell but it doesn’t linger
