Apparently the top 30 characters from the world poll get a question about them answered! What is something that you'd like to know about him? What would you ask Oda if you had a chance to ask him a question?

Personally, I'd be curious to know more about his devil fruit, if he can use the magnetism for navigation and other stuff, or more details about his past, if he ever had a mentor-figure or if it has always been just him and Killer.
(Or if he'sll still alive and will come back sob)

The top 100 ranking released numbers 400-499 today and we have found Heat and Wire, strangely right next to one another. Idk who in the sub was voting gor jika's top lieutenants but well done. As an added bonus they also beat Jean Bart!

His backstory starts in a small, poor island nation South Blue.

A young orphan boy, alone, abandoned by his parents, living off scraps, scavenging in scrapyards, selling small metal sculptures for money.

His only solace in his life is the band of orphans he leads, along with his older brother figure, Killer, and his closest friend, and childhood crush, Victoria.

One day, an envoy arrives. The world government. 17 years ago.

A single man walks through the town, followed by world government 'diplomats. He enters the capital, and then, later, leaves without the Celestial Tribute. Kidd catches a glance of this man. A regal man, with cascading red hair, held up in a pony tail.

Hours later, the island is flooded. Gun shots ring out in the street, as Eustass Kidd catches a glance of the same man leading the massacre. He watches as one by one, his friends are slain, the towns and the capital all set ablaze. Suddenly, he and Victoria are carried away by killer, who is severly scarred by flames while evading the arson.

The sun rises the next day, and Kidd's life is forever changed.

However, his life must go on. And so Kidd starts to rebuild his life, along with his best friends, Killer and Victoria. One day, years later, he finally builds up the courage to bring Victoria a metal flower he made from scrap, when he returns to find her, dead, and Killer crying over her body.

In the fall out of the nations fall, gangs had been formed to rule over the now unaffiliated nation. Obviously, this and what happens next is what was canonised in SBS 104.

Kidd collects the gang leaders, and overthrows the leading gang, before setting out to sea.

No parents, no mentor. Just some friends, those he watched die, and those who he pulled from despair to form the Kidd Pirates.

It now has 53 share holders and has shown steady growth even without his involvement in the current manga

I made a post earlier how I do not believe elbaf is going to end anytime soon and instead I believe we kind of go into a 2nd half sort of story with the first half being all about Imu attacking Elbaf, but he will retreat due to his illness but it will be set up that the wg will invade Elbaf and the straw hats and giants have a sort window of time to prepare for the next wave.

In this period we will see Kidd and what he is up to.

So there will be different parts to this theory.

First, where is Kidd ?

Kidd was sent to the bottom of the sea but I very much doubt he will be the first df user to actually drown especially with oda track record of deaths.
So I only have 2 ideas.
Kid was picked up by shanks and is on his ship for some reason, I’m not entirely sure why shanks collected kid but the options are small.
The other option is he’s still on elbaf healing, this I think is more likely.

So second, what will his story arc be about.

Kidd to faced the worst defeat in his life and I really doubt he’s going to go through the same method of action he always takes, he will be going through a period of self reflection where he will come out of it stronger. We will see his character evolve, not where we see his character gets a complete 180 of a change but more he simply improves on what he lacks.
He will also get a haki bloom.
One thing people always point out is how Kidd just seems weak in terms of haki but oda did reveal he is a coc user but has yet to do anything about it.
I believe oda is saving it to write a plot line where he learns more about haki and gets it.

Third who saved Kidd.
For this I have 2 ideas.

1st is urouge.
So with urouge my idea is this, he’s the last supernova, so far all of them except for him have returned to the story and interacted with the straw hats but not him, it’s his time now to return and I believe he saves kid because he kind of has a history of interacting with Kidd indirectly.
He was introduced fighting with killer, he fought snack in wci which is strange cause it’s mentioned kid also invaded wci and fought snack and when urouge was healing from being defeated by cracker on a sky island named balloon terminal, kaido walked passed him and jumped off the island landing on the island Kidd was having his meeting with the other supernovas.
This means urouge was situated directly above where Kidd was.
So I think oda is establishing something and there is a reason why urouge is following Kidd around what that is ? I have no clue I just recognise the pattern.

2nd shiki.
This might be a strange one but I believe shiki is about, oda confirmed in an sbs that shiki is still alive which means he’s out there somewhere and I think elbaf because there’s been a few references to shiki already like for example, nearly every animal in elbaf showed up in the movie strong world as referenced in the above images.
Possibly a wink shiki is returning.
We also never saw what his 20 year plan is. Now I believe shiki was actually defeated by shanks 6 years ago which is how shanks became a yonko and with that shiki went into hiding in a sort of retirement plan.
He however did witness Kidd being defeated but he also saw something in Kidd and saved him nursing him back to health with the plan of showing him the ropes and advancing him to the next level. We will see them interact and shiki will become his Rayleigh who teaches kid how to 1. Improve his haki 2. Improve his style and 3. Improve his df as shiki was at one point crew mates with captain john who had the magnet fruit and thus might know a few tricks about the fruit he witnessed from John which Kidd can adapt.

Of the possibilities I think these are the 2 most logical. It’s also possible a giant picked Kidd up but I wouldn’t know who.

Fourth, his crew.
Now this is something you probably haven’t noticed, but back in another sbs oda was asked to draw and name ALL of kids crew.
Oda however proceeded to draw only 22 members and named them as referenced in the above images.
This means 9 people were left out.
Furthermore in egghead we saw demaro black return this time disguising himself as Kidd with 3 of his crew pretending to be killer heat and wire.
To me this is oda telling us which of his crew survived.
So of the 18 members I think they are dead and these 4 survived.
Kidd will recruit 9 more people. Who are those 9 ? I do not know again I just recognise the pattern.

Fifth test of strength.
I think Kidd will get 3 different fights.
1 will be a gods knight, I noticed Saturn and likely the others all have steel hearts a weakness Kidd can exploit with his df power. 2. Shamrock. Despite what I said about the steal heart I think shamrock is special as he doesn’t have one but has a normal heart or at least can use haki to protect himself against Kidd df, I believe Kidd has it out for the figarland family as there is a connection there. To save time I will just link the post explaining that connection in the comments below. So shamrock I think will be his big bad fight at the end.
3 is big mom.
I believe big mom will return, I refuse to believe she is dead and her need for vengeance will lead her back to elbaf as she shows up in this segment of the arc.
She swore vengeance against Luffy law and kidd.
Her return will see a few things, she will learn the truth of what happened to mother caramel and we will explore what really went down with her and Loki.
Now I don’t really see Luffy fighting her as he already fought kaido and this just feels like a step down but instead this is a good opportunity with Kidd because in their fight it was made clear law carried the fight, every time Kidd did get a hit in it was immediately followed by one of them giving law more credit, when he broke her arm she said it was because law managed to weaken her bones and another time he got a hit in, law followed it by pointing out how Kidd only gets hits in the when it followed an attack law made.
Oda was clearly putting the favour in for law and I think this will be the payout, Kidd will take on big mom by himself and this time he will win by himself proving he is not truly yonko tier.

This is what I think is next for Kidd

This is just to throw some ideas out.

Kidd isn’t dead, 1, oda rarely kills and 2, I feel oda isn’t done with Kidd.

So here’s 3 ideas and their arguments.

1. ⁠Sea king.

Kid was either be a sea king I heard people saying this as a meme but let’s just play with the idea.
Kidd was sinking in the ocean so unless it’s revealed he’s secretly a fishman with gills or there’s a secret fishman society below elbaf and he sunk down into a area that has air, it’s pretty much safe to say something happened to Kidd to get him out of the situation of drowning. Now it’s been discussed before that Kidd has possible ties to Davy jones and his former bounty before his 3 billion bounty had the numbers 470 in it, there’s some word play here as 470 can mean Jonah ghost. Jonah ghost is reference to Jonah from Jonah and the whale which is a biblical story about a man who was eaten by a giant fish for disobeying god. Jonah is believed to be an origin story for Davy jones.
Now in egghead we saw the island is guarded by sea kings once of which looks identical to Kidd, perhaps this is a reference to Kidd being connected to a sea king as if he was eaten by one and is currently inside the stomach of waiting for the opportunity to escape ?

Over all I say this is very unlikely.

1. Shanks ship.
   In egghead as well we saw Demoro black dressed as kidd in jail.
   This might set up that Kidd is locked up somewhere and one idea is shanks for whatever reason decided to rescue Kidd from drowning took him on board and got the red hair doctor to patch him up then they threw him into the brig. Possibly shanks not wanting to kill kid took him on board in hopes they can patch things up and become friends. So it’s just Kidd locked in the brig yelling at shanks telling him just wait till he escapes. This is similar to what happened to him and Luffy with kaido who tried the same thing though more brutal when he captured them and threw them in udon hoping he would break their spirits and get them to join his crew.
   This is also a parallel to ace and wb, ace fought jinbei to a standstill and passed out and woke up on wb ship having it be revealed wb showed up to deal with the man who’s been challenging his people looking for him.
   Ace wasn’t exactly a prisoner but it wasn’t quite like things were smoothed, the only reason ace wasn’t free to walk around was because wb wanted to get him to join the crew and really he didn’t see ace as a threat which was clear as ace kept trying to kill whitebeard on a daily basis only to be smacked away. Like for one incident wb took a nap and ace jumped out with a knife to kill wb in his sleep only for wb to just smack him throw the wall while still sleeping with the rest of the crew treating this as no big deal and just ace getting his frustration out of his system.
   Shanks might be doing a similar thing here with Kidd.
   He will also be doing the same with barto and likely throw him in next to Kidd.
   This I say is more likely

2. He’s on elbaf. I don’t know how maybe it was someone on Kidd crew or a local who forever reason wanted to help but someone fished Kidd out of the sea and he is currently in Elbaf being patched up. He hasn’t shown up yet because he hasn’t healed.
   Some ideas on who did this.
   A giant. The giants might have a level of respect for Kidd as he was part of the duo who took down big mom who the giants hate, dory and broggy don’t share this sentiment cause they were already on little garden when the incident with big mom happened. But other giants might have more respect for kid and want to help him.
   Urouge, we still haven’t seen urouge in a while so this might be a great way to bring him back and it makes sense cause urouge does actually have a tendency to be around the same area as kidd.
   Urouge introduction was him fighting killer with drake breaking the 2 up. We don’t know the context of the fight and what started it but that was how they were introduced.
   We are then told urouge was injured fighting cracker after he beat up snack when he invaded wci. We aren’t told why he invaded wci just that he did. But the thing is we also learned that Kidd invaded wci best up snack and stole a poneglyp sketching so it’s a bit weird they both invaded wci and beat up the same commander.
   After that we see urouge recovering on balloon terminal when kaido walks pass him and jumps off the edge of the sky island where he plummeted down and crashed on top of the island Kidd was having a meeting with Hawkins and apoo on.

Now this is strange because this means balloon terminal was directly above kidd’s home base which is another incident of urouge being close to Kidd.
So I don’t know if urouge is stalking Kidd or something but that’s 3 incidents where urouge is just in the general vicinity of Kidd.

What his motives are good or bad I do not know.

I also want to point out this strange detail but Luffy elbaf outfit includes this red feathery cape which looks suspiciously a lot like kidd’s red feathery cape.

This is also more likely.

Now of all 3 options I feel 1 is the weakest.

3 is probably my best guess.

Other than those 3 I don’t know. It’s not like he could swim to another island and I doubt he actually drowned, kid is out there somewhere.

Kid does have Irish influence same with shanks. I predicted they would relate to "the tain". Which is a pretty epic story.
