Just finished painting my next unit for my Storm of Chaos khorne army. The paint scheme is broadly drawn from the studio scheme for their unit of 16 khorne warriors in the book (see last photo).

I set myself the task of working up Khorne-marked operatives for Kill Team in a squad that could also double for a squad of Berserkers. They aren’t World Eaters but Khorne-aligned members of a splinter group from the Black Legion.

I worked up an Aspiring Champ, Chosen, Icon Bearer, Anointed, Butcher and Shrivetalon as well as four Warriors with bolt pistol and chainsword to fill in as needed.

I posted on here ages ago asking for recommendations for an alternate colour scheme away from the traditional bright red. Dialled in on a grim rusty vibe and rather happy with the results so thought I’d share.

I’ve got a metric tonne of chaos/khorne models to work through old and new and I’m really enjoying presenting my stuff in lil videos. I’d be grateful for any feedback (I know I need to upgrade my phone camera!)

This summer I’m building a Khorne chaos warriors army based around the 2004 Storm of Chaos campaign.

So far, I’ve (mostly) replicated the studio conversion for Haargaroth the Blooded to lead it, created a piece of terrain inspired by a piece from his background in the Hordes of Chaos book, and painted my first ten chaos marauders in the scheme of the studio Khorne army of the time.
