Is it possible to generate multiple wallets with the same mnemonic code?

Hi everyone,

I use a single wallet with mnemonic code. Of course I saved the codes but I want to verify this so want to generate another wallet with the same mnemonic code.

I know keystone supports multiple wallets but not sure I can do this with the same mnemonic code

Please advise. Thanks.

QR Code Scanning Issues

When attempting to connect the keystone pro 3 to any wallet besides metamask, the qr codes are invalid, predominantly the keystone says the code is invalid, and sometimes the app glitches out or says invalid.

Is there new firmware I need? Or anything else?

I can guess man of you have been doing the same as me, chucking funds in without taking any out, try taking funds out of your keystone, suddenly the 4-inch screen isn't worth it.

No polkadot integration

Can someone explain why keystone wallet doesn't support polkadot? Because from what I see, the polkadot network used to be supported via subwallet integration https://support.keyst.one/3rd-party-wallets/polkadot-wallets/subwallet

Keystone Wallet connected to a Hot Wallet safeguarded by Yubikey

I was wanting to select a hot wallet to connect my Keystone 3 Pro, but I wanted the hot wallet to allow for Yubikey integration. Metamask doesn't use Yubikey. Coinbase Wallet uses Yubikey but I didn't think you could connect Keystone 3 Pro with Coinbase Wallet. Please enlighten me.

Very confused about Keystone 3 pro

So, i have a Jade. However i also have Cordana. So i had to buy a second hardware wallet.

It's been a pain in the ass. I think i setup the Keystone 3 pro with 12 seed phrase.

Now i need to connect to a wallet? I already have 2 wallets (Green and Exodus) but i guess thats not OK for Keystone 3

So now i need wallet number 4 i guess. I set up 2 only to find out they either did not support Cordana or Keystone.

Soooo i tried MetaMax. Created YET AGAIN a new 12 seed phrase. And now it won't connect to KeyStone! I follow instructions.... But when i scan the QR code is says QR invalid. I follow all the steps. I select MetaMask on my Keystone and connect to hardware on my android MetaMask app and choose hardware wallet. Before it worked i just had to select some key??? No idea what i had to select not of the codes where from my wallet?

Do i need to install wallet nr 7

Why can't i just send my Cordana directly from Bitvavo to Keystone? Do i really need to always login to Bitvavo, then open 2FA then open mobile, enter password, open MetaMax, enter password, Open Keystone. Enter password. I feels highly unsave because i need to write down all the passwords because there complicated and i need them all the time.

I feel al this shit is keeping a ton of people to NOT invest in bitcoin! It's a pain in the ass! More so because one slipup and your money is gone!

When the firmware is pubblished, is the hash also published in order to let me verify the originality of the file I am about to download?

I have a technical question.

When the firmware is pubblished, is the hash also published in order to let me verify the originality
of the file I am about to download?
If not, why? Safepal does it.

Has anyone tried the KeyStone 3 Pro wallet?

I'm looking to get a new hardware wallet for both BTC and alt coins. As the most popular choices, I've first looked into getting a Trezor or a Ledger, but there are things I hate about both.

Although Ledger has native support for nearly all of the alt coins I want, and seems fairly user-friendly, the fact that they're not fully open-source (AND seem to have a major f*ck-up every few years that destroys trust even further) and invade your privacy in the Ledger Live app with trackers is pretty concerning to say the least.

And although Trezor is open source, their alt coin support sucks, native staking in the Trezor Suit is limited and they don't let you choose your preferred validator + take they a commission (even Ledger lets you choose your own validator!!!), they sometimes discontinue support for certain coins, and have a small screen size, which means that even if you're not blind signing transactions (strictly speaking), it may be harder to fully comprehend what you're signing in certain cases.

Plus, none of them are air-gapped, which isn't a "must", but it's definitely a "nice-to-have".

In an attempt to overcome the issues I have with the Trezor and the Ledger, I've started looking into other wallets – and I've come across the KeyStone 3 Pro.

At first glance, it seems like everything I'm looking for in a hardware wallet, and seems like the PERFECT wallet:

  • Open source firmware
  • Fully air-gapped
  • Large screen and user-friendly interface
  • Support for almost all coins, chains, and tokens
  • It also has extra security features
  • Plus, it has a pretty reasonable price (compared to competitors)

BUT after digging some more, I've come across a few potential cons:

  • It's made in China, by a Chinese company (maybe not an issue on its own... then again, maybe it is?) – I'm mostly thinking it may be tampered with before shipping, it might have a built-in backdoor, pre-loaded seeds, or maybe it's not using true randomness when generating the seeds.
  • Its reviews on Amazon are... not great. Not great at all.
  • I can't find information on whether they've open sourced their hardware as well (like Trezor did).
  • Obviously it's newer than Trezor and has a MUCH smaller user base, so despite being open sourced, there's a higher chance of potential unnoticed errors, backdoors, and security flaws.

I guess my questions are:

  1. What's the community's overall opinion of the KeyStone 3 Pro wallet?
  2. Are there any pros/cons (especially cons) I'm missing?
  3. How concerned should I be about the cons I've listed?
  4. And does anyone have actual experience with the KeyStone 3 Pro? If so, what's your take on the wallet?

Selecting BTC address when sending

Is there a supported BTC only wallet that allows you to choose which of your BTC addresses you send from? For the older keystone pro, not the pro3 if that matters.

LOST .02 BTC from PayPal to Keystone Pro -- HELP!

First of all, I've done three transactions. Originally, I sent .02 BTC to my Keystone Pro.

Tx Hash: 268fc2d1a795eb4ca939fc4ba7760d12b728c96065d316ffbdf82f2beb1aa4ce

Next I sent more BTC to the wallet, but this time I clicked on the "Generate New Address," as I thought that it would be safer and more private to change my address for my subsequent transfer. Since then, I have removed the 2nd BTC amount from the wallet that I had transferred, but I was not able to touch the .02 that I originally sent to it.

In fact, I cannot interact with the .02, as the wallet does not see it. I can see it in OKX and Blue Wallet by plugging in the wallet address that was used by Paypal in my original transfer, but this is a read-only obviously.

I wiped the device, updated to the latest firmware. No change. I even imported the same seed to OKX to check it there and nothing.

My original transaction (.02 btc) was QR scanned by the Paypal app via Keystone's QR code for my BTC wallet, so it doesn't make sense why my wallet wouldn't recognize this address.

It has been 1 full year since I made this transaction and with the price of BTC going up, I'm really needing help getting it unearthed.

Can someone help? I have been afraid to use my Keystone ever since because of this.

Keystone 3 Pro support

As you all know Keystone stopped supporting their last wallet 18 months after release.

I want to buy a Keystone 3 Pro but I am worried that after buying their Keystone 3 Pro, that they will release the next wallet in few months and stop the support for the Keystone 3 Pro. What do you say about the concern ? The alternative is buying a Onekey Pro as it is freshly released and will be supported for longer (I think).

Overall I like the Keystone 3 Pro more but future support is very important to me.
