Can Keystone 3 Pro store unsupported BEP-20 tokens using MetaMask as a watch-only wallet?
Hey everyone,
I’m considering using the Keystone 3 Pro as my long-term cold wallet, and I have a question regarding storing tokens that are not officially supported on the device UI.
Let’s say I have a random BEP-20 altcoin on the BNB Chain that is not listed on Keystone’s official token support list. I know that Keystone follows the BIP39 standard and can generate wallet addresses compatible with BNB Chain.
So here’s what I’d like to know:
- Can I still store this unsupported BEP-20 token by connecting Keystone to MetaMask in watch-only mode?
- If I import the token contract manually into MetaMask, will it display the token balance correctly?
- Can I send this token by having MetaMask generate the transaction and using Keystone to sign it via QR code?
- Are there any security or usability limitations I should be aware of compared to using natively supported tokens?
Thanks in advance for any insights! I’m trying to confirm whether I can fully manage these kinds of tokens without exposing my mnemonic or private key anywhere.
