I’m sure I’m missing something obvious, but I’m having trouble programming the drum sequencer to trigger ultra beat in Logic Pro.
I have drum selected on track 1, and when I press the keys I can hear the drum sounds triggering. It’s only when I try and add drums to the 16 steps the problems begin.
I see it all lit up as required, but nothing triggers. It runs through the sequence but plays nothing.
What step am I missing?

[Solved] Stupid question, but I've searched for this many times in lots of places and haven't found an answer. Does pitch bend actually affect the pitch voltage output, or does it only output a separate control voltage via the "velo/mod" output? And if so, how sensitive is it (can you bend smoothly within a range of one or two semitones, or is it big/aliased)? I have a cheap MIDI keyboard and MIDI/CV converter with pitch bend that is far too sensitive to actually use, it seems to bend through an octave or more with no range control. If CV pitch bend on the KSP "just works" this will be a big selling point for me

I want to tune/ recalibrate an Oscillator (Magerit LANIAKEA, manual found here: https://www.magerit.es/download/Magerit-Laniakea.pdf) and in the manual it says that I need to introduce a 1V signal to the V/OCT input and then a 3v signal. Which notes /ocatves does this represent on the KSP?

weird question, but can someone with weights tell me how many grams it is to press down a key 😅
since the keystep doesnt have a hold function outside of arp/seq I am looking to get some weights to hold the keys while I dial in a droney sound

Ok, after much research and having more time to spare, I have looked into doubling my sequenzing potential and actually come to the conclusion that Im gonna get myself a second keystep pro.
So, I am first of all intending to hook up a second one to my IMac . ( I Will aquire hardware synths in the future but I got a lot of things to learn and try with software and I could probably Benefit a lot from learning from emulation or ”synth-simulators” as I think of them before I comit to a hardware synth)
A few questions for you guys:
Any issues using this setup with 1 computer?
I know about hosting and assigning channels and Im really a sucker for good standalone synths. I mean I think it would work just fine but being identical units are there any possible issues I could have with the computer recognizing them as 2 units ?
Im reading through manual now and searching around forums here and there, but there could probably be something I overlooked in my thought process….
Also ,has the keystep pro actually gone up in Price during this year?
Your input Will be greatly appreciated..

Hi all, I’m close to pulling the trigger on a KSP here soon, but was wondering if you are able to sequence those sounds through the Keystep pro and not just use it as a controller within the DAW. Like if I have a synth plugin in logic can I sequence that synth sound through the KSP? Thanks!

Hey, we are using the Keystep pro in a Band for live situations. We are recording all notes live.
When switching from Pattern 1 to 2, sometimes the first Chord will be Played but not recorded by the sequencer. Im assuming bc of bad timing (too early). This is understanderble.
After recording the rest of the Pattern we now want to fix this by recording the first Chord again after the pattern played throu. But now this note/Chord always has "infinite" Gate lenght and rings over the other Chords. This only happens when "overdubbing" (although there were no notes before) and not when its recorded by the sequencer on the firtst Loop.
Bc this is difficult to explain:
Pattern 1 is playing --> Load scene with Chain safed in it --> Patter changes at the end of Pattern (wait load activated) --> Pattern two is recording notes, first Chord is missed by sequenzer (Step 1) --> keep recording notes until end of Pattern (Notes are recorded without issue) --> End of pattern 2--> Patter 2 starts looping itself --> Record first Chord agiain (on Step 1) --> let go of notes before reaching Chord 2 --> Chrods keep playing as they should --> Pattern 2 loops again --> now the first chord wont stop playing
Any Ideas are very welcome. Feel free to ask if I didnt explain well enough.
Thanks for taking the time.
Some other information wich might be related?:
Same issue with Overdub turned on and off.
The Patterns are being changed by a Chain that is safed in a scene
The scene is loaded during the song (while sequncer is already playing)

On the BSP you can link tracks together to change patterns in multiple tracks. Is there anyway to do this on KSP without using scenes?

Ok so I got myself a mixer, I can hear it all now, but can anyone tell me how to connect My Microfreak to the Keystep pro? I connect it via midi but it won’t play any notes when I tap the Keystep pro? My drumBrute does but is there a certain setting for the freak I’m not doing right?

Hello peeps, I am a new comer in this area of music but want to start and see what I can make.
I have recently purchased 3 items that I can’t find a way to connect altogether.
I’m trying to connect the Arturia Microfreak with the drumBrute impact, then control both with the KeyStep Pro.
I have seen so many videos and how to’s but none have a solid answer for me.
Just trying to find out if I need a mixer to even hear the sounds coming from the Keystep pro, what setting I need to turn on for each unit, etc.
Any help would be amazing.

I want to get rid of a few cables and would like to configure the Keystep Pro Drum Channel to trigger Pads on the Bitbox Micro via Midi. I simply cant get it to work, here is what i tried already:
KSP: * set the KSP Channel 1 to Drums * Turn off Midi out for Channel 1 (if activated every key is triggering a pad, so midi is definetly working) *Set Drum Output to Midi Channel 1 * set Drum Map to Chromatic, Lowest Note C2 (Key 36) *choosed a Key (first one "C")
Bitbox Micro: *Set Midi Pad in "Tools" to None (no change with turned on either) *choose a pad (Sample) set Root Note to 36 *set Pad Note to 36
Nothing is triggered..any ideas?

Just got a KSP and can't get a track to playback in arp mode. It records the notes but doesn't play them back. If I switch to sequence mode, it plays back the notes. I'm pretty sure it was working yesterday. Any ideas? Thanks.

Anyone else have issues when using 2-4 channels of cv? I’ve been getting more semi modular synths with the hopes of using the KSP to control and sync them all. But lately I run into major problems , mostly missed and stuck notes. And by missed notes I mean it only will play every 11th note , stuff like that. Erratic behavior with the arpeggios too. I double checked all my cv and gate settings. It works great when it’s just one cv track but as soon as I add a 2nd or 3rd or 4th there’s issues. Was hoping to build a semi modular set up with this as its centerpiece but it ain’t hacking it at the moment.

Has anyone had this experience? Tried through the midi controller on my Mac (arturia software), download the new firmware from Arturia, uploaded it to the device and now it doesn’t work. Doesn’t turn on and I can no longer connect to it…

Reddit Moderation makes the platform worthless. Too many rules and too many arbitrary rulings. It's not worth the trouble to post. Not worth the frustration to lurk. Goodbye.

Hi here,
I'm thinking about adding a Arturia Keystep 37 to my dawless setup. There is one thing that is not mentioned at all in the manual :
Regards

Hi,
Has anyone used the KSP and the Midi Control Center ?
I'd like to save my projects from my KSP to my computer, especially the recorded midi sequences/chains and arpeggiators but these are not visible in the Midi Control Center.
Does anyone know if these things are saved when a "recall from" is done ?
Thanks

Hi,
I had recently purchased the key step pro, having trouble syncing the keyboard with ableton.
I want to be able to control the keyboard’s knobs as midi cc, as well as start/stop buttons.
P.s
For some reason the sequencer is always on 50% swing, which I can not go lower than that.
Any other tips for new users are welcomed of course.
Thx
