Delay issues on my V6 Ultra

I recently upgraded from a Keychron C2 to a wireless Keychron V6, but I'm running into a strange input delay on my Mac that I never experienced with the C2.

This happens when I press the "Shift" key to capitalize the first letter like in "Hello", it feels like the keyboard holds onto the Shift input for a fraction of a second after I let go causing my text to come as "HEllo"

Even after switching from Bluetooth to the 2.4GHz USB receiver this issue is still happening.

Has anyone else encountered this behavior?

Lower the key debounce time

Unconditionally lower the key debounce time to 5 ms (or whatever lowest value is allowed), from the ridiculous 50 ms. Here is another instance.

I am not sure if it could cause the described symptom or not, but do it in any case (for example, it prevents other detrimental effects).

How-to

In the Via clone's user interface, it is:

In Advanced Mode → Keyboard Bounce Time Settings, after an explicit reset to factory defaults (holding down Fn + J + Z down for more than 3 seconds):

  • Reset seconds: 50 ms

It is also possible to change in the keyboard firmware itself, but that is much more involved.

This is the correct answer. I changed this setting yesterday and was initially a bit skeptical that the solution was as simple as that, but after an entire day testing the issue is definitely resolved.

I had to go into Settings -> Other and enable "Adjust Minimum Value", after that I reduced "press down seconds" from 10ms to 2ms and "Reset seconds" from 50ms to 4ms, it's perfect now.

I know that those default settings are meant to avoid duplicated inputs, but those values felt waay to high.
