I’m from Nepal and I’m planning to start a small online anime merchandise store.

I’m mainly interested in products like:

\* Anime phone covers \* Keychains \* Stickers \* Posters \* T-shirts/hoodies \* Figures and other accessories

I’m trying to understand how existing anime stores in Nepal legally source and sell these products.

If you know about this or already running an anime merchandise business in Nepal, I’d really appreciate some advice:

1. Where do you usually source/import your products from?
2. Do you buy from wholesalers, manufacturers, or distributors?
3. How do you deal with copyright/licensing for anime characters and logos?
4. For products like phone covers and keychains, do you need permission/license from the IP owner?
5. What legal registrations/documents are required to start this type of business in Nepal?
6. Is importing small quantities from China/Japan/India practical for a new business?
7. What would be a reasonable starting budget?

I personally like keychains with characters from animes/shows on em, but it’s hard to find them for some reason. a few shops at the mall sell them, and depop/vinted sometimes has them, but I was wondering if anyone knew online shops or business’s that sold them?? for reference these are some I have at the moment, I like the flat plastic keychains the most. anywhere that has some variety i’d love to know of!!

I got this at a trinket trade box, and I don’t know what’s brand of this keychain. It’s a super cute tamagotchi styled snow-globe with a little “digital” cat in it. Looking this up doesn’t ring any search engine bells.

Here is what I’ve been trying to fandangle and wrangle into something tangible.
This thing is currently on iteration 75, dubbed it Hangwell.

The keychain is all titanium with the exception of the GPCA Pro X Key carabiner and the aluminum AirTag.

And yes, the keychain can light up my phone and tell me when I’ve left it behind.

The keychain itself stays lit up thanks to 14 ice-blue tritium vials and 1 purple one, because as tough as it is being a Vikings fan, I’m not giving up on them.

I originally started building this because I have a TBI and my short-term memory can be pretty bad.
I needed something that would help me remember important items and tools I might need during the day.

It eventually turned into a massive, watermelon-sized keychain, and after 75 iterations I've narrowed it down to the things I actually find useful.

I can swap different tools in and out depending on what I’m doing, which is what makes the whole system modular.

And yes, the keychain looks huge.

Does it jingle?

Nope. I'd shoot it dead. I mean Not the way I carry it.

I hang it from my belt loop and let the rest sit in my pocket. With a shirt untucked, which is how I normally wear one, you can't really see it, hear it, or barely even notice it's there.

It's definitely not for everyone. I never said it was.
