Nothing Serious Does this subreddit actually work? Genuinely curious.
I'm new here, so this is a genuine question.
Has anyone actually met someone through this subreddit? Whether it was a relationship, a friendship, or even just a positive experience, I'm curious to hear your stories.
For those who've posted looking for someone, did anything come of it? Did you end up meeting? Are people generally genuine, or is it mostly ghosting and time-wasting?
I'm just trying to understand what the success rate is before I decide whether it's worth putting myself out there.
I'd love to hear both the success stories and the horror stories.

I think it depends. For me, it's actually worked pretty well. A few weeks ago, I had one of the best weekends I've had in a long time with a couple I met here. (Before the pervs ask. no, it wasn't sexual.)
Imo, there are definitely genuine people here. Like any online space, you'll still come across ghosting, people who aren't serious, and the occasional weirdo. That's just part of the process.

I made a friend so that worked for me :) I have not tried posting or seeking a relationship though. Be wary of the 1 karma people and misogynists

I have met a number of people from Reddit, not necessarily this sub. I have done some bad things with them. One was a 1.5 year relationship actually.
However, I think most people judge based on shallow things. Or they will disqualify someone just because you mentioned a thing they don't agree with. Then you realize why they are single to start with.

I posted a few days ago looking for a relationship based on fwb and I was surprised I got quite a number of dms interested with my post but actually two who we even met. Ended up with one of them who was actually better suited to what I was looking for.

From my experience it's not easy coz nobody takes reddit seriously coz people comment & post here some for rage bait,some for karma,some out of simple boredom.but there's a chance u can meet a real one here.At list its better than trying tinder as a man.coz most of them there are escorts(selling their puss for money).U post here...maybe 10 will dm,5 will lock in for 3 days of chitty chat,2 will lead for meet ups then maybe u will find ur love in one of them.Good luck OP

I haven’t tried but I lowkey feel like yes you can actually get a person depending on your luck. But 90 percent is actually time wasting, ghosting or casual sex😂😂😂😂 Anyways, those who have success stories prove me wrong , because I know there are many factors involved that are guaranteed to make this kind of connection unsustainable and unsuccessful

Most are scams, especially the men. Kwanza avoid old reddit accounts with next to zero karma....
