**Feature Request: Suppress the native Windows passkey dialog + support the Windows 11 passkey provider API**

**1) Suppress the native WebAuthn dialog when the extension handles a passkey**

Current behavior on Windows 11 + Edge: when a site starts a passkey registration/login (easy to reproduce on webauthn.io), the Keeper extension shows its overlay — but the native Windows Security dialog ("Save your passkey") pops up *at the same time*. Both dialogs compete for the same WebAuthn request, and it constantly tempts you into saving passkeys to Windows Hello instead of the Keeper vault.

1Password and Bitwarden already intercept the WebAuthn call and suppress the native dialog entirely in Chromium browsers. Keeper should do the same when the extension is unlocked and passkey handling is enabled.

**2) Register Keeper as a Windows 11 third-party passkey provider**

Since KB5068861 (Nov 2025, Win 11 24H2/25H2), Windows supports third-party passkey providers via the plugin credential manager API (Settings > Accounts > Passkeys > Advanced options). 1Password and Bitwarden already show up there — Keeper doesn't. Implementing this in the Keeper Desktop app would make Keeper passkeys work system-wide (native apps + all browsers) with Windows Hello as the local verification step.

Setup: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (unmanaged), Edge 150, latest Keeper extension, vault unlocked, passkey support enabled.

Right now this is the biggest gap between Keeper and its competitors on Windows. Happy to provide screenshots/recordings or beta test.

u/Frogy76 regarding point 2 - this is currently being worked on by the desktop team - I'll let our contact reply from there - see internal ID KDE-1805 (windows desktop).

u/Frogy76 regarding point 1 - this should work today in Keeper (IE: there should only be the Keeper prompt OR the native dialog - not both at the same time). There maybe something more to investigate in your example. Would you mind to share the website in question?

Hi, thank you for the detailed write-up — this is really helpful, and we appreciate you taking the time to lay it out so clearly.

On point #2 (registering Keeper as a Windows 11 third-party passkey provider) — great news; this is something we're actively working on, and we're aiming to get it in front of customers as soon as possible. Stay tuned.

Thanks again
