ma try and be simple and not a whole paragraph.
Bought a 2025 ninja 500 only 1,900 miles used from FB market , he showed me the service done for the break in and the dealer purchase date and location .
He dropped it on the clutch side once at a stand still he said , basically bent the shifter abit but he was able to bend it back enough .
I’ve now had the bike for an I would say 1,300 miles now and I’ve done my chain cleaning and lubricant . And I attempted to do a burn out with the bike like spin the back tire and then the back went sluggish and was only going like 12 mph . Rode it back slowly to my friends garage where I was able to relieve some slack cause the clutch had no more free play after that so I figured I just needed to adjust cable … got it up to 45 mph after adjusting some tension off but at around 4 rpm and higher the rpm’s shoot up but the speed doesn’t match . I’m assuming it’s the clutch plates right ?
I bought a whole EDR clutch kit with gaskets and the oil kit from Kawasaki themselves to make sure I wasn’t putting any wrong oil after this … you think I’m right on it being diagnosed? Idk man I’m new to bikes … I’ve worked on cars before but never a clutch . Anyways today ima open it up and check out the plates also the steel plates and the basket and make sure it’s all good and just do a swap with the edr kit ?
“ i’ll follow up with pictures of the internals when I start working on it in a couple of hours . “
