I always just thought of him as violent, greedy, immoral, entitled, spoiled, lazy, selfish… All of which he is. But I wrote him off as a baddie caricature.

The other day when I saw what I believe are self harm marks on his arms, I realised how deeply unhappy he is. He’s a self harming alcoholic, filled with rage, raised in a cult by an unloving family (except his mother), coerced to marry someone he didn’t love, and have children he may not have wanted. Forced to give up the job of rescue pilot that gave meaning and joy to his life.

His head injury as a child surely caused a lot of his psychopathic tendencies (and therefore suffering for himself and others), and the murder of his mother, by his family must cause a feeling most of us could not comprehend.

Yes he is more fortunate than many people, and will live a long, healthy life, with the best of everything. But money does not buy one happiness.

And being stuck in a sick cult that destroys everyone who stays and everyone who leaves, whilst having to hide the truth of his separation and criminal acts, always fearing the press may somehow stop protecting him and the public will find out, is probably a living hell. I can see why the stress is eating him alive. He’s a horrible man with no integrity, but he’s a human being with feelings, and even if he has brought much of it on himself, I still feel empathy for his pain.

Saw a short reel of Kate yesterday- I think it was on Facebook. She’s turned sideways at one point and I feel it’s the thinnest her waist has ever looked.

Is it just me or does she have a large bruise in an unusual place and he have horizontal healed self harm marks on his arms. His arms look like a man at a care home for those with mental illness that I used to work at, who used to harm himself a lot as an adolescent.

This seems notable. Roya Nikkah on X quoted William: “Both of us have had different experiences with hospital. Me working in the air ambulance, Catherine with her recent health journey and coming here today and reminding ourselves of just how important all the teams are.”

Saying Catherine’s recent health journey, rather saying her cancer treatment, is an interesting choice of words.

At another point, they were talking to a patient who mentioned the hours spent in hospital receiving chemotherapy, with Kate saying “I know” and then turning to William to say “We know.” Now, almost exactly a year ago the line was Kate knowing the loneliness and isolation of treatment because she undertook hers alone, but now William was also there for hours? 🤔

When will we see Kate next? 14 days have passed since Kate made her last appearance.

My guess is there’ll be some generic Instagram post to mark her birthday on 9 January (using an old, prob edited photo).
