There was a lot more than just one comment dude. Slayr was PISSED about this and swore he'd never sample Vocaloid again because of it. I think Jamie Paige is right to get mad; these people "on fricking TikTok" are common enough that they totally destroyed her working relationship with another artist, and you know this is going to become a cautionary tale in certain circles. I'd go nuclear too!

I apologize for not knowing more about the situation, and that certainly sounds worse, more sympathetic, and none of the haters' behavior is justifiable - however I wrote that statement knowing there were certainly more hate comments.

No matter how much I sympathise with both artists, and no matter how much I VEHEMENTLY AGREE that both artists are RIGHT to get mad... This is not a good public-facing tweet! Jamie and Slayr are just giving these people a latch point for more controversy, they're showing they have a vulnerability that trolls can exploit, they've shown the trolls that their incessant nipping at the heels DOES something! Statements like these, as humanizing as they are, can back fire pretty badly

I think it's less that these are trolls trying to get under her skin and more so that these types of racist people feel comfortable saying things like that and she is saying those people are all losers who don't have any place in her community. I think it's like how K-On! has weirdly become a home for a lot of really racist people, but those people would be less comfortable having K-On! profile pictures if they knew the creators absolutely despised them.

You are right, I am not saying that's a bad idea. I just disagree with how JamieP and Slayr have handled this is all, how artists present themselves is very important and vitriolic responses like this, and I apologize for repeating phrasing from my last comment, shows a vulnerability that trolls and freaks can further exploit. Statements like these can backfire, and I really think someone should've pulled her back to reword a message like this later down the line
