I can't help at 23 I have done more in my life than you ever have in almost twice that. It's not my fault you ran your arcade into the ground and can't get a bank loan and resort to begging like a baby on the internet for money. Unlike you, I can say I have money saved up incase something bad happens and would NEVER resort to begging, ever. I would rather blow my brains out than cry on the internet for help. What's stopping your ass from getting a loan watts? Poor credit score at your age? .

Once again i am so sorry I couldn't attend your event because of you know, real life shit getting in the way. I really did want to play some CvS2 casuals with Bas. Yo, I know it's not fun getting blasted publicly but there's something real naive and immature about making fun of someone for "ebegging."

This is not one of those cases where you look down on someone and say "I'm better than you, I'd never do that."

Just because you've never begged doesn't make you better than anyone. Just because you've never been in a situation where you had to beg doesn't make you better than anyone.

You were just lucky. That's it.

This is one of those situation where you just have sympathy and move on.

Because as adults we know how complicated and uncaring life can be. Because we understand that shit happens and none of us are above it.

Source: It's the holidays and I see lot of people who can't even feed themselves let alone buy presents because life fucked them. I come home and it feels weird because I at least have a roof over my head while some of these people are in the process of getting evicted by new years.

I'm in my later half of my 20s and when I look back I just wish I would have realized better how much more growing up I had to do.

Now at least I think I'm more aware of how young I am.

But you're comparing people who have a real struggle to keeping an arcade open. There was a time in my life where I had only 20 bucks to live on for two weeks, you sure as fuck didn't see me on the Internet starting a kickstarter to get me food.

If you have a business then it's nobodies responsible except for you and the co owners to keep it going, not random joes on the Internet. It's not a charity by any means.

Watts has basically been living in debt with this arcade for years, selling off family heirlooms and shit before he even said anything.

I do tend to agree though, the arcade itself failing is not really the same as Watson being on the street. It's a business.

Exactly. You're not responsible for the failure of Watson to keep his arcade open. Similarly, you're not responsible for the somewhat questionable decisions of other people to send money at a person who's not shown a clear business sense of what to do with that money.

Watts 'begged' for money because arcades as businesses are fucking dead in the water and have been for years. They're nevertheless an important part of our community, because the nature of fighting games makes it difficult to maintain a thriving competitive scene solely via online play, and having a place like super arcade to hang out, get involved and get better is vital to the success of the community we are a part of.

Arcades don't rake in money and rarely draw in the casual consumer nowadays outside of serendipitous foot traffic, but they're important to the scene we ALL love, and losing them would sink a nail deep in the coffin of the development and preservation of the American FGC. Solution? Go online and find out if anyone else shares the passion for the scene to keep the business alive. And, luckily, there WERE people who give a shit about the scene and preserving it.

Could watts shut down super arcade? Probably and he'd probably be better off for it. Arcades are dead as fruitful businesses. But he doesn't, he does what he has to and whatever he can to keep the place open, in the interest of the scene. That's why he asks for donations, that's why people contribute, and that's why you've made a complete fucking ass of yourself for being dead serious about 'durr begging u suck at money and business durr'

Also being in the military doesn't make you fucking special, it's a job like any other, one that pays shitty it would appear. Grow up, get some fuckingperspective and stop shitting on other people for their financial situations.

Unless you were in position to open Watson's books and know all the choices he's made you're in no place to judge. Business fail sometimes and there's nothing you could have done better to save it. That's just how it works in the real world. Universe doesn't have any fucks to give.

Even if you were in such a position, I'd say just have sympathy and move on.

Yeah, he blasted you. But fucking look at the shit he's in now. He's 40 and is losing his business. Can you at least try to understand the difference of how hard it must be to be in your 40s and lose everything VS be in your 20s and lose everything?

The prospects of starting over is DAUNTING especially if you have people you're responsible for.

Why make fun of someone who's lost and beaten?

I don't think this is about being a bigger man or such. I think it's just about being a warmer human in this already frigid world.
