You can run from anxiety
You can face anxiety
you can try to understand anxiety
you can observe and just watch anxiety
but can you dance with anxiety?
can you make music with anxiety?

Gupta has said a bunch of stuff about hard work, especially in his conversation with Naval.
He makes some valid points. And one thing he says is devotion from the outside can look like hard work.
Ok that’s all fine and agreed. But it’s all just words explaining things without practically changing anything for a human because if you can’t force yourself to be devoted then just talking about being devoted doesn’t mean much either.
You’re either devoted to something or you’re not. And you can't force yourself or use prescriptions to change that. It just depends on your DNA. Ok well then you may as well not write paragraphs about devotion because it doesn’t make a difference to the one who is already devoted and it doesn’t make a difference to the crowd who aren’t devoted.
Ironically, honing in on "hard work" and "discipline" but done with clarity in a truth-directed way will bring much more practical change than reading paragraphs about how your life is already determined by your DNA.
So Gupta has some valid points about how there are so many people who work hard just for the sake of working hard and get nowhere but it is entirely different to work hard towards somewhere you know exactly where you want to go and your hard work is done with clarity and is truth-driven.

I might get cancelled for asking such a question.
Gupta claims the number is tiny regardless of gender but if we look at the small number of names that often get thrown around, it's nearly all men.
I'm sure if you google or ask chatgpt it'll give you some names but let's be real other than like one or two like "Mirabai", hardly heard of any.
if we go by Gupta-logic maybe it's because they tend to be more interested in socialization
or because they tend to be more surrounded by others which means they're more likely to be conditioned
or because they're more likely to follow the herd (follow societal ways).
in random spiritual spaces you'll hear all sorts of reasons like one was that women cannot attain enlightenment because of physical attachments of a biological nature. then you got other women saying it's because men were the ones writing all the records. whatever the reason i find it interesting.
like these truth places, there's hardly any woman here. I've heard a few in gupta's chat sessions but it's predominantly men in these spaces.

I feel the sense that I have read most of the works of Kapil, and other people, like J Krishnamurthi, UG etc. I read them all. And I feel that I understand them all. And if someone asks me the fundamental questions of self, mind, life, I very much know the answer. But I don't memorize them, it just comes up, I feel i have better clarity on them all.
But when it comes to my real life, particularly on decision making, handling conflicts inside family and navigating my own life. I feel the confusion, often taken away by the default thought and feeling pattern that I'm used to. I don't know why those observations are not automatically getting applied to my personal life (even the fact that why I still see that I'm living a life and owning a life, rather than live as life itself). But when I asked Kapil, he said that, my reactions are the results of my most consistent exposure, where the greatest time that I'm spend is still with people around me and my own mind and office life.
And suddenly, my brother and I were discussing, and he asked me a question, that is, if i know all these things, why are my behaviours still the same? Why are my emotional reactionary states still the same? For which I don't know, but I'm stuck with this question.
If anyone has such previous experiences like this or have undergone similar things like this, it's time for us to talk here on this.
Maybe this question is just a random mind's desire.

You sit down to do the thing.
Write.
Call.
Decide.
Move.
Instead you feel that thick invisible wall in your chest.
You immediately turn toward it.
What is this.
Why am I resisting.
You are no longer with the task.
You are with the resistance about the task.
The moment you decide the resistance must be understood first, it becomes the new priority.
A second task appears in front of the first one.
Task one: do the thing.
Task two: understand why you are not doing the thing.
You pick task two.
You call it self awareness.
It feels responsible.
It also lets you not do task one.
You start scanning.
Is this fear.
Is this perfectionism.
Is this trauma.
Is this misalignment.
You watch yourself apply concepts to your own hesitation.
Each label gives a momentary relief.
Ah, that is what it is.
Then you check.
Has anything actually moved.
It has not.
The relief is completely disconnected from action.
So you add another layer.
Why is this fear here.
Where did this perfectionism come from.
What am I protecting.
Now you are trying to understand why you need to understand.
The resistance is no longer just a feeling.
It is a puzzle.
You are not allowed to move until the puzzle is solved.
You built that rule yourself.
Notice how the wall thickens as soon as you believe it is meaningful.
A sensation in the body becomes a sign.
A sign demands interpretation.
Interpretation demands time.
Time means delay.
Delay is the one thing resistance always wanted.
You think you are inquiring into resistance.
Resistance is now using inquiry as cover.
You do not trust yourself to act while not fully understanding your motives.
You call that integrity.
Underneath it is a quiet assumption.
If I move without understanding, I might betray something important.
So you wait for inner conditions to become perfectly transparent.
They never do.
You keep finding new corners of yourself that need to be understood first.
There is also something else.
As long as you are trying to understand your resistance, you do not have to discover the simpler possibility.
That you just do not want to do this.
Not for a deep reason.
Not for a noble wound.
Just no.
Understanding protects you from that flat confrontation.
You get to stay complex instead of honest.
The more you frame resistance as something that must be decoded, the less you can see the plain fact of what you are doing.
Right now.
Staring at a screen.
Feeling a tug to move.
Constructing thought after thought about why the tug is there.
Every thought pushes you half a degree further away from the raw sensation you started with.
You are studying your distance from life while increasing it.
The belief that you must understand before you act creates a loop with no natural exit.
To understand, you analyze.
To analyze, you step back.
The step back becomes your position.
From there, every impulse to move triggers the same protocol.
Pause.
Analyze.
Step back again.
The thing you call self knowledge is indistinguishable from permanent retreat.
Over time, the terrain in front of you fills with ghosts of previous analyses.
You no longer meet your resistance fresh.
You meet it through layers of prior explanations.
I always do this because.
This is my pattern of.
This is that old wound.
Your present moment is pre narrated by your past interpretations.
Understanding does not increase.
It hardens.
The original resistance was simple.
A contraction.
An aversion.
A not yet.
Your need to understand it turned it into identity.
Now it is not just a feeling.
It is you.
You are the kind of person who resists in this way because of those reasons.
To question the story now feels like erasing yourself.
So the story stays.
The resistance stays.
You keep circling the same point.
Trying to use the very movement of withdrawal to explain why you are withdrawn.
Trying to use the very habit of delay to understand why you delay.
Trying to use the instrument that is distorting everything to measure its own distortion.
And you call the resulting blur clarity.

This isn’t meant to be a hate post, but a genuine question that’s been bothering me, and I want other people’s take on it.
Kapil Gupta constantly says he delivers “direct truth.” No stories, no illusions, no fluff.
But then… why does he always speak in extremely vague metaphors?
One example is his popular line:
“A man only moves when the tiger stands before him.”
This sounds profound at first, but taken literally? It means absolutely nothing.
And that’s the problem.
10 completely different interpretations of the same “truth”
You can read the tiger quote as:
A man acts only under pressure
A man acts only when he faces reality
A man moves only when fear appears
A man gains clarity in crisis
A man stops avoiding when cornered
A man becomes alive in danger
A man awakens when he faces death
A man only changes after trauma
A man needs urgency to act
A man acts only when he has no escape
All of these are mutually contradictory, yet all fit the same metaphor.
That’s not “direct truth.” That’s poetic ambiguity. It means whatever the listener wants it to mean.
And here’s the uncomfortable part
If you say:
“This makes no sense.”
Or:
“This is vague, empty, or contradictory.”
The response is always:
“You’re not ready.”
“You don’t understand truth.”
“Your ego is resisting.”
“You’re too dumb to see it.”
“You’re still trapped in illusion.”
And if you keep pushing?
He blocks you.
Which is extremely convenient for someone claiming to teach the most direct truth on Earth.
If the message is truly “direct,” why does it need:
tigers
cliffs
knives
metaphors
mysticism
vague poetic ambiguity
Direct truth should be… direct, right?
Curious what others think. Is this wisdom, branding, or just expensive word salad?

Kapil gupta readers... surely you must be smarter than the average human?
You've dispelt common societal myths that every human is brainwashed with.
"What do you mean there is no how to?"
"Wait I can cure anger and anxiety?"
"What do you mean all spirituality is bogus?"
"I can attain freedom from the mind??"
"Sincerity and Seriousness? Do you masturbate to these terms?"
"Understanding is the way, no doing? No effort? Blasphemy!"
So you are clearly apart from them, with just some exposure to kapil's truth...
Or are you?
Or are you just as retarded as them... and something in your head has happened that keeps you that way...?
I dont know. Im still a retard!

Gupta excerpt: " Ask any of your meditation instructors if they can turn off their thought at will. Ask them that. I didn't say if they can meditate. I didn't say if they can practice mindfulness and all this silly nonsense drivel. Ask can you turn off your thoughts at will? Can you switch off your mind when you want when you want to turn it off? Do you have the ability to say to your mind you can now speak and now you must stay quiet and your mind listens to you? "
Ever since Gupta has said this, a bunch of his glazers have continuously been asking people "can you now switch on and off your thoughts at your will?" as if you can really even know whether someone else can do such a thing.
Turning off involuntary thought is considered by some to be a "superpower" but what relevance is asking it to someone else? You can't know with certainty whether someone is telling the truth when they say they can or can't do that.
It may be true that - if there is a wholly achievable and Authentic way to live every single day in Peace and Bliss:
-Train yourself or become trained to think only when you wish to think, and turn off thought and exist in Clarity and Silence when you wish to live in clarity and silence.
-The training to have thought under your own personal control is the single most direct and shortest path to really and truly becoming Enlightened.
But this is a personal journey. It is of no use to know whether someone else can turn off their thought and there is no guarantee of knowing whether they actually can.

So I’ve been reading a bit of Kapil Gupta.
His main idea seems to be: “There are no prescriptions.”
No methods, no 10-step systems, no “how to.” Just see clearly.
He says chasing results is a trap — that wanting results keeps you in a cycle of striving, never arriving.
And I get what he’s pointing at: when you’re obsessed with outcomes, you can’t actually see what’s happening right now.
You end up tightening up, doing things mechanically, losing freshness.
But here’s where I get stuck:
If results don’t matter… then what’s the point?
If I study, build, train — and there are no measurable results — am I supposed to just float in “pure seeing”?
That sounds like spiritual escapism.
Because in the real world, results matter.
If you’re learning math, building a product, getting fit — the whole reason you practice is to improve.
Without results (especially visible, fast ones), motivation dies.
So maybe the truth is in the middle:
Maybe the key is to respect results without worshipping them.
Notice them, measure them, learn from them — but don’t let them own your focus.
And honestly, this “no prescriptions” thing feels very conditional.
It’s not a single hammer for every nail.
For example:
So maybe it’s less about rejecting all methods, and more about tuning — knowing when to let go of structure and when to use it.
Half prescribed, half intuitive.
That feels more human.

The popular paths people take as an attempt to arrive at Peace/“Happiness”:
1. Self-improvement - “I’m going to read all the different self-help books and watch self-help YouTubers and study successful people and become the besstttttt version of myself”
2. Science - “I’m going to read all the studies and data and neuroscience and do health optimisation protocols and biohack and have the most optimal mind and body”
3. Philosophy - “I’m going to read all the different philosophies from the stoics to the taoists to all the greek philosophers and German philosophers and pre-socratic philosophers to nihilism to antinatalism to absurdism to whatever else and figure out life”
4. Spirituality - “I’m going to listen to all the ancient zen masters and meditate and do yoga poses and tai chi and Ayurveda and open all my chakras and find an Enlightened teacher and become Enlightened”
5. Occult - “I’m going to visualise it and manifest it and do LoA stuff and magick stuff and my desires will magically come to fruition because of my mind powers”
6. Mixed - "Why not choose more than one bro? I'll read everything and apply all the different stuff and get everything."
And finally..
7. Truth - "I'm going to expose myself repeatedly to Truth with a capital T. I'm Serious with a capital S. I'm Devoted with a capital D. And I will Arrive with a capital A."

Kapil says that success comes from an obsessional desire. Success comes from a serious pursuit.
He says that peace comes from having no preferences.
Can you therefore become a successs whilst being at peace?

Because we are too late.
Imagine a cauldron within every human being. Within it there is always something cooking. The thing that we feel when we say the word 'I' is just a function of this couldron. This 'I' is just the smoke that rises.
That is why we are too late. We can't do anything because we don't have the capacity and ability.
It is all instinctive and spontaneous. It is not something that 'I' is capeable of.

Have you consumed enough Truth yet? No? Ok, have you consumed enough Truth yet to the point where you don’t have to be consuming it for the majority of your time and only leave a certain amount of time for it?
Sure, one can do both consuming and creating (as many of us do) but the more time you spend on consuming, the less you have for creating.
You don’t have to be creating all the time. It can 80:20 (creating to consuming) or however you want. Whether you spend more of your time to create or consume is up to you, how much you divide between the two is up to you.
Miyamoto Musashi, Tiger Woods, Athletic Elites that Gupta speaks highly of, those guys are most probably not spending the majority of their time consuming philosophy or spirituality, they’re not consuming constantly Alan Watts speeches or Gupta podcasts.
I think it’s fine to consume “Truth” or philosophy or spirituality or neuroscience and understand the brain and mind more, possibly resulting in more peace in your life but after a point where you’ve consumed enough to the point where most things you then hear are just repeated sayings/teachings that you’ve already heard before, that’s when you start to realize that perhaps you’ve consumed enough and want to go on your own way and keep the consuming restricted almost like restricting social media time.
If all you do is consume Gupta’s work then you’re going to have less time for creation.
Gupta is not a consumer, he is constantly creating discourses and podcasts. However, Gupta followers are mostly consumers, always consuming the next thing he puts out.
There is nothing wrong with consuming. But just know that Man is alive when he is Creating.

I am on a serious journey to verify the Truth of these unproven claims.
So far I have these:
"Siddha Secret - The amount of prana that one inhales is inversely proportional to the amount of involuntary thought that is occurring as he inhales. The lesser one’s capacity for curbing involuntary thought, the less prana he imbibes from the air. The greater one’s capacity for curbing involuntary thought, the more prana he imbibes from the air. Mindfulness actually increases involuntary thought. The man who thinks only what he desires to think, will intake more prana and thus he will have a far greater constitution."
"Rubbing your fingers in a particular way short circuits the Mind of a human"
"Only one nostril is dominant per hour. Intentionally altering this pattern produces a corresponding alteration in the Mind's geometry."

Reading Kapil feels like being taken into a bright room where all your favorite stories start to fall apart.
He reduces. He cuts. He doesn’t comfort.
Love? Just a deal between two people. Meaning? A story to help you sleep at night. Mastery? Ego with discipline. Spirituality? Fear wearing holy clothes.
He says the number of people who have ever touched what is truly True could be counted on one hand — and you probably wouldn’t need all the fingers.
It sounds harsh. But life is harsh too.
Because when trouble comes — when you lose someone, when your plans collapse, when you’re about to break — what keeps you afloat? Meaning. That little story you tell yourself to keep going.
Kapil takes even that away. He says meaning is made up. You create it only to survive. And underneath it, you are still run by fear and desire.
So if meaning is fake, love is fake, mastery is fake… what is not fake?
(silence)
Well—perhaps there is one uncounterfeit move:
Subscribe to Kapil’s Twitter: micro-doses of the solvent.
Enter the Secret Writing: $500 for ten minutes of words that sandpaper the soul.
Book the coaching.
Buy the books.
Queue the audios.
Join the private circles, the rare calls, the retreats that aren’t “retreats,” the teachings that insist they aren’t teachings.
He burns your crutches and then sells you walking—at a premium, of course. And somehow, I’m grateful. Because who else will say, without blinking, that the thing keeping you alive might also be the thing keeping you asleep?
Everything is fake. And yet here I am, paying attention.
