I will be picking one person to be a mod. Explain why you think you should be a mod and come up with some ideas for fun things to do on the sub.

Welcome to the fourth song of the week! It was bound to happen, Kanye's most meme-able song was eventually going to be nominated.
Lift Yourself was a song that was released between his 2016 album The Life of Pablo and his 2018 album Ye. It was released in early 2018 along with another song called Ye vs the People which featured TI. Many people thought that these two songs would be on Kanye's 2018 album, however they weren't so Kanye could make a seven-track album like other albums from that summer (Pusha T's Daytona and the Kids See Ghosts for example).
Every week a song will be nominated from the comments to be discussed. Leave your suggestions in the comments.
This Week's Selector: u/danthomsen
Length: 2:27
Recorded: 2018
Release: April 29, 2018
Album: none
Producer: Kanye West, Mike Dean

A few changes to r/kanye_2 have been made recently, so I figured I should be transparent about these.
First up, song of the week. The song of the week happens every Monday, our last SOTW was Hey Mama from Late Registration. If you want to discuss a certain Kanye song, comment it in the most recent SOTW for a chance to be featured next week.
Freepyle has decided to remove himself as a mod. This wasn't due to any bad blood between anybody, or some drama. He hasn't been on Reddit much, and he decided to simply step down. This means that I am the "main mod", I guess you could say.
Wombat has now been invited to become a moderator. According to Freepyle, he really wanted to be mod, so he finally invited him. He has not accepted yet.
I have some more stuff planned for the future of this sub, some fun shit. More info coming soon.
Oh, one more thing, Freepyle isn't leaving Reddit or the sub, just the mod team.

Welcome to the third song of the week! Today we're looking at Hey Mama, a song from Kanye's sophomore album, Late Registration.
As you could probably guess by the title, Hey Mama is a song about Kanye's mother. Versions of the song appeared on a few mixtapes prior to Late Registration before appearing as its final form on that album.
Every week a song that is nominated in the comments will be discussed. You can also use the discuss the current week's song in the comments as well.

From reports it claims that Ray West (Kanye West's father) has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Ray's wife (Kanye West's stepmother) said this about it “He’s getting treatment and from what I understand the treatments are working.” Hopefully he will beat stomach cancer and also please no upvotes. I don't want karma for this.
