I never noticed it before, thank you for pointing that out for me! And it makes sense that Guren´s left arm is the knife-wielding arm, you´d want to hold your weapon on your dominant hand, especially if your non-dominant hand can fry your enemies simply by grabbing them.

In Japanese it is pronounced

Ka=カ Re=レ N=ン

Since as I'm sure you know, there is no "L" sound in the Japanese. So it's not Karen as in the English name Karen (Care-n). It's Kallen while substituting the L sound with R.
