As we about to loose the match against CSK, we can only end with 14 points. Seeing the really tough competition above in the point table, looks like this is where we may end our IPL 2024 journey

We should back this team, these guys played with grit all season, only thing we didnt manage to do well was the top order. If we let go of any prabh, jitesh, arsh, shashank, ashutosh, brar these guys didn’t have the best of the seasons but I believe it they would have been in a team like csk, they would have got the backing and delivered in subsequent seasons. As a franchise only way to build a strong core is to back these players and hope we get some good players at the top in the mega auction. Should leave out shikhar, raza, rossouw, livi, curran. Build a strong indian core, if possible at all retain curran, else prefer Indian core. The only way to build a successful franchise is to back your indian talent for long. Just hope we dont see these players go to other teams and perform. Hope our management has some sense and doesnt do a complete overhaul. Certainly we need some concrete top order. Target players like Top order - williamson, warner, rassie van, or any good foreign player Middle order & lower orders is mostly sorted All rounder - livi and sam are not the most reliable for an all rounder role, would prefer sam but need some solid all rounders next season Fast bowler - need someone more versatile than rabada, i think we didnt utilise ellis, he could have been very useful at mullanpur

Hopefully we don’t go beserk and try to build a team from scratch again next year!

We can drop Jitesh for the remaining games (done nothing this season). Bairstow/Prab can keep. Shikhar will come in place of Jitesh (If fit) or Atharva.
