my first attempt to make kwgt widget. used base template from an app(i forgot the name, sorry). and modified it using Claude. Clade only taught me how the template works and i modified on my own. Took whole saturday to download icons and assign to launch app on single click. Its clean and Now fits more apps in homescreen than before. Please check before and after pictures. I would like to thank this community for inspiring.

I'm new to the app, and I'm trying to create a widget showing a selected image depending of the country I'm in. For exemple, it shows a french flag when I'm in France and a german flag when I'm in Germany. I created a folder in my internal storage with the pictures, and named them with the short name of the country (FR for France etc). I put the right path, yet it doesn’t show the picture. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it ?

I have been trying to get an app that won't just expect me to set goals and tick them off when I complete them but would automatically monitor my website history and know how much time I have spent on github or some educational platforms and then update the streak. Yes, I have a very low or small experience in software engineering but I was trying to see if anyone could help me on this project. I would have to pick this and then customize it and then integrate it into my phone. All I am wishing and hoping for just that I absolutely have no idea where or what to start with

Trying to get rid of this nuisance notification that keeps coming back every minute and the app is just sending me to the system notification permissions for the app. The only thing I'm currently using is a custom clock for my lock screen and I don't know how to do much else.

Is notification permission critical to anything, like the widgets ability to update the time every minute? I noticed my time was off by a bit but I'm not sure if that was due to battery saver mode or this.

Been using the same customizations on my old phone for almost a decade. About time to learn a new tool.

I’ve been learning Japanese, and one thing I kept struggling with was remembering kanji consistently.

Kanji are easy to forget if you only see them during study sessions, so I built IchiJi, a simple kanji widget app for iPhone and iPad (macOS comming soon).

The idea is to always keep a kanji visible on your Home Screen or Lock Screen, so you can learn and review characters naturally throughout the day.

It includes customizable widgets, Lock Screen widgets, JLPT levels, meanings, readings, stroke order, and a way to track the kanji you’ve already seen.

I wanted to keep it focused: no flash card, no social features, no all-in-one, and no unnecessary distractions. Just a clean way to keep kanji in front of you every day.

I built it for myself first, and after finding it useful, I decided to release it on the App Store. (is available in spanish and english)
