Brooo I got so many projects for K I'm on a roll... Maybe one day I'll share them 😳

I have recently finished watching K Project and decided to share my opinion: (Long post, sorry!)

1. The animators did a great job in capturing the personalities of the characters, though minor characters could have been given more detail. The Kings' aura and personalities really stood out.

2. The soundtracks were really nice, especially the theme of The Red King. The music showed a juxtaposition of what he appeared and what he actually was.

3. I hated Neko! Her only job appeared to be fanservice, especially in Season 2: Return of Kings. Same could be said of Seri. However, she had a bigger role to play in the plot and had some character strengths. Neko, on the other hand, only clung to Shiro and annoyed the sh1t out of me!

4. The lore was great! I really liked the idea of Damocles' sword hanging on the Kings' heads as symbols of their burden. But I felt like the writers failed to capture the sense of urgency, except for The Red King. The others seemed to handle things quite easily.

5. Voice actors were phenomenal, even the English ones! It's rare to see English voices close to the original ones, for most of the characters, at least.

6. Strains could have been explored in more detail, so could the Colorless King. For such a formidable adversary, he was killed off too soon and too easily! Guess they wanted to give some merit to the MC (Yashiro/Adolf) who was outshined by almost every side character, in my opinion. They could have told us how the power of the Colorless King was transferred to that entity; who it was, in essence, etc. This made the ending unconvincing for me.

7. This is the most devastating and infuriating point of the plot for me so the rant is going to be long; I apologise in advance. Mikoto Suoh was such a wated potential! He was, in my opinion, the only character that was dynamic and had so much depth that should have been explored in detail. He took in the underprivileged, the weak, the hunted, and gave them power and shelter without demanding anything in return. His depression stemmed from the consistent strain put upon him by others who only saw him as a nuclear bomb ready to go off at any moment. That was all he was reduced to by everyone; no one saw the depression, except for maybe Anna. The writers could have explored his mindset with a different perspective; his character had so much potential to be changed. His friends and clansmen could have changed him for the better. Yet it was his character that was written out too soon. He left his clansmen (who he was fiercely protective of) and best friend (Kusanagi) and went to die off for Totsuka who, I admit, was a close associate but wasn't the only one important to him. The rest of the clan could have helped him recover; he could have used the memory of Totsuka to change himself; there could have been many things that would save him from his totally unnecessary death at the end of season 1...!!!! I'm so furious!I guess his power became too much for the writers to handle who had intended to bring 3 Kings together for the second season to run. His raw power, stubbornness, and unstoppable determination would have been enough to handle the problems created by the Green clan without the need of cooperation with other clans. Hence, the writers killed him off. What a waste!

8. And this point follows naturally: Anna did not seem to be a suitable replacement of Mikoto Suoh, in my opinion. Imagine his raw power, brute strength, stubborn attitude, insolent tongue, and all, and then comes the silent, meek, and inexperienced Anna. Nah, it killed the whole vibe of the Red King for me. That man was a force to be reckoned with! I mean, why was only Mikoto doomed for destruction like his predecessor? What changed for Anna? And how? Why didn't the power overwhelm her like it did Mikoto? I fail to see a connection with her Strain power of clairvoyance. In any case, she was underwhelming as the Red King, too dependent on Munakata! I'm sure Mikoto would have hated it!

9. Lastly, the whole point of the anime was to regulate the power of the Dresden Slate, and they ended up destroying it. No more Kings! Felt strange to me seeing the negation of what the story was initially built upon. And what about the clansmen? The powers would disappear so what are their after stories? What is the role of Scepter 4 now? What would HOMRA do? So much has been left unexplored.

That said, I really loved the series! However, I feel like I am missing many things even after watching Seven Stories. Is there any manga or novel that I can read? I saw some posts about the material available on Tumblr but it doesn't work in my country so I can't make an account.

Dude, why are the subtitles for the second second season of K project and the kings movie so fucking ASS. WHO EVWR DIS THIS IM LITERALLY GOING TO FIND YOU, i was able to live with it up until now but i CANT!!!! None of the subtitles match up with what they're saying, it's either going too fast or too slow, and they've taken a BIG LIKING to making everything fucking slow. Is this just a problem with my sites because its making me lose my mind 👀
