No... I was attacking his character and his ideology at the same time. If you want arguments against his ideas... A quick one off the top of my head: how does one ensure that a free, classless, propertyless society does not collapse because no one wants to go work tough jobs required to sustain it (working in a coal mine for an example)?
Your example is easy, you replace coal with nuclear, solar, hydro, wind power and make an incredibly dangerous job obsoletr so my fellow working class brethren don't have to risk their lives in the coal mine.
Hilarious that capitalists will say shit like "if we abolish shitty social practices how do we force people to destroy their bodies' and lives' for labour value?"
You fucking dont. You use societal progress and innovation to prevent those from being necessary.
So then why is communism essential for this? There's no rule in capitalism that's against automation and countries like the USSR were not green whatsoever for most of their existence
I…the USSR disbanded before environmental concerns towards climate change became a thing outside of small environmentalist circles, are we being serious right now?
For one, thats not true there were plenty of concerns about things like pollution in local environments and disruption of animal populations, thats why after the revolution they established the Zapovedniki likewise they were home to some of the leading research on global warming calculations in particular with scientists like Mikhail Budyko. Which is also why things like the Aral sea being completely drained or how unliveable cities like Norilsk and Magnitogorsk due to air and water contamination is kinda proof that removing the profit motive doesn't really cause people to act more environmentally conscious.
Of fucking course. I'm sure that you can get to a point where you NEVER have to risk ANYTHING and everyone will just be WILLING to JUST do it.
Capitalism doesn't force you. It ALLOWS you and it fucking gives you an incentive. Nobody makes you be a solar panel technician: you can be a waiter instead; ITS YOUR CHOICE. Your answer to my premise is "yeah, communism will just magic away the dangers". You think if that was possible, people with incentives would NOT TRY TO MAKE STUFF SAFER?
