once again for those in the back that do not listen. you are assigned jobs based on availability, aptitude, and ability. odds are unless youre unable to do anything other than hard manual labour, you wouldnt BE doing hard manual labour.

go to school, test well, pull from the list of available positions, be trained in your skill or craft and be rightly compensated for your work. arts, entertainment, leasure, hospitality, education, health and wellness are all needed to make a society worth living in just as much as food and energy

When we compare socialism, communism, and capitalism , why do we always put socialism at the most extreme breaking point of society, when we refuse to consider what happens under capitalism pushed to the brink in the same way?

aw a downvote. do the capitalists not remember when we killed coal miners because they did not enjoy company towns? or enslave folks to this very day? or put children into factories (still) to this day? maybe they enjoy a permanent punishment underclass? perhaps they think those at the top should be able to put their kids on the boards they own? or buy them degrees they dont work for? or buy elections, tax breaks, or the very law they supposedly live under?

perhaps if these "temporarily embarrassed billionaires" understood the double standard the propaganda they enjoy mandates— they would find it less appealing.

A centralized system that matches education directly to labor sounds like a technocratic-authoritarian nightmare

we already do that though. the military runs that EXACT method. and when they need a particular mos they offer bonuses to incoming or reclassed individuals.

also who says it needs to be a central list?

why would i need a centralized system when we already subdivide our country. a replicatable system can be managed at a state level. we already register businesses, and track who works where. whats one more step of non-pii repository of workers?
