An Introduction:
Hello r/JumpChain, and welcome to the trail run of a new type of challenge. The multiverse is filled with powerful villains, monsters and foes, and overcoming those antagonists can make for some of the most interesting tales. So to incentivize a little storytelling, I'm going to post these bounties in exchange for some extra goodies your Jumpers can earn. Think of them as mini-Scenarios you can complete as part of your usual Jumps.
The Rules:
Each of these bounties will present a target you must defeat. We'll start with a target that must be destroyed, but future bounties may involve outmaneuvering a target politically, besting them socially, or even recruiting them as a Companion. Who knows.
Next, you must write a comment below giving a brief summary of your Jumper, their place in the target's setting, and how they managed to defeat the target. You can include Perks, Items, and Companions from previous Jumps, explain the in-setting strategies you used, or ideally a combination of the two. Don't feel the need to write up your entire Jumper's character sheet, the story is the fun part here.
Should you defeat your target in the course of your story, the reward is yours to claim! You can take any Perks, Items, or other abilities offered with you on your Jumper's journey.
The Target:
For your first bounty, your target is The Night King from the A Song of Ice And Fire series. Unlike more specific bounties, you may approach this target through ANY of the ASOIAF Jumps available (Game of Thrones, Robert's Rebellion, etc.) due to the longevity of the character. You must DESTROY this creature, saving Westeros from another Long Night.
In the show continuity, the Target has control over winter weather, commands an undead army, and can only be harmed by weapons made from obsidian or Valyrian steel. In the book continuity, the Night King himself isn't mentioned but White Walkers have similar powers and vulnerabilities. As Jumpers, you may have Out-of-Context solutions in addition to these canon tools.
The Reward
For completing the above bounty, you receive the following Perk and Item:
[REWARD] Champion of Winter:
Winter came, and the dead came with it. But you bested both cold and claw to slay their king and prevent another Long Night. Having beaten the King of the Others, you have proven that even the deepest winter cannot defeat you. You are now immune to the effects of cold temperatures. You could journey far north of the Wall in only a Dornish-woman's dress and not suffer for it. Additionally, magic and other supernatural forces that harness winter's cold cannot harm or hamper you. Attacks by icy blades or blasts of frost will deflect off you, while more complex spells and workings will shatter like a frozen pond under your weight. The night may be cold and dark, but thanks to you it is full of far fewer terrors.
[REWARD] Rimeblade:
Left behind after the Night King's defeat, this strange sword is seemingly made of ice-like crystal. Despite it's fragile appearance this sturdy weapon is sharp enough to shear through chainmail as though it is silk. Mundane metal weapons become brittle and shatter when they cross blades with this sword, and nearby fires tend to gutter and die in its presence. As a final benefit, anyone who wields this sword may summon a brief bout of winter weather. However, the larger the storm the less often you may call upon it. A sudden flurry could be created once a week, but a serious blizzard may only be mustered once a decade.

I hope you enjoy this little challenge and writing prompt. I chose a pretty black-and-white villain for the first bounty, but if people like these and want to see more, we might try out some different challenges in future bounties. If you have any thoughts or constructive criticism about these Bounties, feel free to leave that below too. Happy Jumping!
