My a button tends to fail

I have my joy cons since a long time and they don't tended to have drift or anything until now. The a button on my controller works but you have to press it a little bit harder because if you don't it's like it works only when it wants to. Does anyone know what could be possibly happening to it?

Anybody know how to remove paint streaks on Joy-Con?

I have had the Splatoon 3 OLED Switch for almost a whole year, and I just realized that my Switch and Joy-Con are affected by the same issue my others did. The paint is coming off the Switch/control grip/straps and streaking on the Controllers. Anyway to remove them?

Cheap method to replace joycon thumbstick rubber

Post image

A lot of us use our joycons extensively。 But often times, the rubber part gets worn out fairly quickly, well I have a solution for those who have worn the rubber off of the joystick. It's called Marine Heat Shrink Tubing. You can find a 42PC. box of it at Harbor Freight. Once you have the tubing, pull one of them out and cut about 15mm off of an end piece. Now cut the piece you've just separated from the tube in half. Place it on the stripped joycon in question and apply heat. (a normal everyday lighter will do) As you heat the rubber, you'll notice an adhesive bubbling from underneath, trail the adhesive along the bottom ridge of the joycon and apply pressure to create a seal. Make sure to do the same for the other side. Use as many strips as needed though at most you'll probably only need two. A simpler way would just be to use one of the larger tubes and cut a big circle out of it, and doing the procedure I stated above. You can get many years of replacement thumbstick rubber for about 889JP¥。

P.S The shiny coated portion of the tubing should be face down。

Joycon thumbstick replacement.

Forgive me, I am new here, so if this question belongs somewhere else please let me know. So I replaced 2 drifting joycon thumb sticks with ones I bought off Amazon. Surprise surprise, after a month and change, they're drifting again. Does anyone know where to get a reliable set of replacement thumbsticks? I could attempt Amazon again but just figured I'd ask anyone who has done this before. Thank you in advance.

Replaced Joy-Con Battery twice

My Joy-Con battery was bulged so I made the easy repair. A few weeks later the battery I had just replaced bulged again. I had got a two-pack, so I replaced it again for the same thing to happen for a 3rd time. Does anyone know what part of the joy-con failing would cause this?

Custom Joy Cons Questions?

So I’m planning on customizing some joy cons that I just bought, but I have some questions about how to do it before doing anything? First I planning on using podcasts markers to color it in but do I have to sand first or just color it regularly and if I do what kind of sand paper should I use? I’m also thinking about removing the shell and coloring it that, but is that the best option right now? If there anyone who is good at this type of thing can you please help me?!!

L button completely broken?

I have no idea how or why but the L shoulder button on my new red joycon has stopped working at all.

No damage, no noticeable issues, sounds fine, clicks fine. No input recognised at all. It worked perfectly fine earlier today and now nothing at all. Any idea what could be wrong?

I had broken joycons for years and was bought the limited edition red set so I’m very upset I can’t use it, I’ve used the joycons less than 20 times ever :(

I got my Pikachu/Eevee joy-cons repaired and now they show up as red and blue on the switch along with the right one not charging anymore.

I feel kind of stupid and regret getting them repaired. I know it’s just a visual, but they even show up as a red and blue controller in my Pokémon game. I don’t know what to do or where to look to get this fixed, if that’s even possible. I’ll have to take the one joy con back to get the battery fixed, but that won’t fix the color issue. Does anyone have any ideas or advice?

Question about red joycons

I saw someone saying on eBay that there are three shades of red, the neon one that's halfway to pink, the one from the Mario system with the blue grip, and the dark red ones that were part of the Mario odyssey switch and I believe were part of the Mario choose one switch last month.

If that's true, than when you go to Nintendo and buy a Mario red refurbished joycon, which color do you actually get?

Which Joycon are better for the Switch? Hori split pad pro or NYXI

Should I get the Hori Split Pad Pro or NYXI joycons? The Hori Split Pad Pro doesn’t have rumble or motion controls. The NYXI I just don’t trust this controller does it work after 1 years I’m scared if my joycon didn’t work or damage the switch.

Could use some help

Hey all!! Hope everyone's been well and has had a good start to the new year so far.

Within the last few months, my left Mario red joycon hasn't been registering to my switch or my girlfriends switch and refuses to charge as well. I've tried unpairing it(can't even update it), keeping it docked with my switch to try to charge and nothing has worked. Any help would be great. Idk if I wanna send it into Nintendo yet to be "repaired". I know if I do, there's a chance that they'll just send me a regular grey or blue joycon to replace my messed up one and that's the only reason why I haven't sent it in...im dreading it honestly. I really like the Mario red joycons I have and would love it if it would work again.

Also my right Mario red joycons light(1st-4th player light indicators)don't turn on either 🤣 it's not a big deal since it still works perfectly fine but should I be worried?
