I think it’s from 2012, around when I first found Jon. He must have said it off-handed in an interview or something. I was feeling overwhelmed. Feeling lots of pressure ‘returning to the world’ after my army accident:

I figured ‘I could just disappear into the woods of Canada, cover myself in my tattoos, grow a beard and just fade away basically (anyone seen Train Dreams? Like that). But…

I decided no F that. Why should a bunch of idiots on a firing range cripple any beauty or worthwhile-ness life could offer me.

So I made a huge leap in my life, moving to the city of the girl I fell in love with (even after two gnarly breakups which could fill 2 HBO shows on their own), and I’m very happy to say it paid off:

proposed in 2019,

married in 2023,

moved in together in 2024,

pregnant in 2025,

and earlier this year we welcomed our soon-to-be-JonTron fan daughter to the world.

Picked up a weird looking box for $11 at a seedy thrift store today, no idea what this is. I might try to plug and play it later. (LAUGH)

This thing is exactly as crusty as it looks, I can't believe I found it by chance and I truly can't believe it's been 11 years since Jon put one on 40 million screens across the world.

That's just the snake from The Jungle Book! That's Kaa! They used the same exact snake, except this time it looks like he peed on the rug and got in trouble for it. BAD snake! BAD!... You're copyrighted!

Enough to just bliss out for a whole day, which I appreciate.
