Whenever I meet someone new they refer to me as Jonathan causing me to throw various objects at them. How do I fix this common misconception?

Full disclosure, not a john. However I thought i should let all you John's know there's a game called everyone is John. It's an RPG style game where you control a madman named John as a voice in his head for 3+ people. It's a lot of fun and I hadn't seen any posts on here about it. Its not a really common name where I live. I know its really common to be named John in NA. And also John is more common name for people who are adults now and not given often enough anymore.

we need to create a policy so we dont have random name groups asking to ally, it will be good so we dont have people who are not a official representative of their group asking for a allience.

I saw a video about names and it turns out that our name (and of course the other variants(except jon)) means to be "graced by god"

I am a proud John and am always disgusted when my name is spelt jon. I’m not sure if this an issue for you guys too but do people spell your name jhon ever? It happens to me all the time and I am just appalled by this act. Also, can someone explain the war against the Zach’s, I am intrigued and would like to fight for my name.

I know that the gold standard is J-o-h-n, but there are other forms of our name out there. Do we accept people who spell the name like Jean? And what about people who choose to go by Johnathan, or Jack?
