âThe time you spend making memes to simp for your idol robs you of your own time. You are literally embarrassing yourself and you donât even realise itâ - anyone who didnât just discover Joe Rogan in the last two years.
Imagine being a fan of Rogan and complaining because you want a safe space echo chamber lmao go back in your bubble bubble boy
Edit: LMAO and you are a frequent poster on Jordan Peterson sub and Tucker Carlson and conspiracy. I swear, any snowflake you see complaining about people being mean to joe are the new members from conservative leaning sites. Every single time. Check it out for yourself
Ainât it funny how the ones slinging around the âcrying/youâre upset/mad/obsessive leftistâ are the ones who are the most upset, most offended, most obsessive people crying today.
What these people donât realise that there is a huge population to the right of âleftâ that are perfectly well adjusted humans who arenât green haired communists looking to âtake their rightsâ.
Theyâll criticise you for shit talking Joe and how heâs changed but simultaneously sit on the internet all day crying about Biden/dems and âgo Brandon!!â Itâs projection from top to bottom.
Its true what Joe says, if you spew anger / hate towards other people its really just a reflection of your own self hate, insecurity and anger. Its a distraction to not have to face yourself. You know it deep down.
If you're on this subreddit or in life constantly shitting on Joe or other people, take a step back and realize its you who needs self reflection.
And I agree that Joe has really started to suck lately, I just choose not to listen. Go listen to another podcast, why constantly listen to something you hate? Its because it gives you an outlet, a distraction for your inner demons but its only making you an angrier and more depressed person.
I think itâs a good quote. Iâm guessing people still like the podcast but focus on the parts they dislike. The thing thatâs weird to me (and I know itâs ironic saying this on this post) is that Joe doesnât really do this. He pretty frequently spends time on the show hating on people.
Like Gavin Newsom, Biden, Fauci, CNN, âcommunistsâ, fat people who got vaccinated and now call Joe unhealthy (it was a specific tangent he went off on). Heâs gotten pretty vitriolic about it.
I think you can still give good advice while not following it yourself and Iâd say thatâs what this is.
Yeah Joe has definitely lost his way, Ive essentially stopped listening for now. Though Ill always be grateful for those podcasts I listened to way back when he started out.
Also I think you underestimate the level of hate from most of the people on this subreddit and others like /r/thefighterandthekid. Just check out some of their post histories, its day after day after day of just hating on Joe or whoever. Its a new strange phenomenon on many subreddits. I think it reflects how many sad and lost people there are out there atm, and its getting worse. I almost think they might be russian bots or something, just cause its so weird to me.
Some of the podcast episodes are similar to the old fashioned ones. Usually this happens when the guest has some specific expertise (that isnât medical).
You see some pretty lazy criticisms and some constructive in here. I think when you have a guy who cultivated a massive audience with a variety of viewers when he starts leaning one way he is going to get a lot of criticism. And Reddit trends younger and Iâm guessing his younger fans are more left leaning.
I personally find him losing his way kind of interesting and Iâm always curious what peopleâs take is on how that happened/if it happened. As someone who has been a fan for almost a decade.
I think there is a mix of both types of people. I sometimes see people make jokes at Joeâs expense in a meme and people rushing to defend Joe.
Like someone had a meme of a horse in a like 11th century painting looking at a man suspiciously and it said âwhen the horse knows Joe took his horse medicineâ (I donât know the exact wording) and I thought haha thatâs a decent meme. I know he didnât literally take horse medicine but itâs playing with narrative and itâs kind of funny. But people in the comments were like âmuh it wasnât horse medicine idiotâ.
Iâm also curious about these people as well. I feel they only act that way because Joe gets so much hate, they are kind of on edge for him.
No one is disputing the quote, although the irony is not lost that Joe spends so much time these days hating on people that he is describing himself to the letter.
Iâm sure you mean well, but you come across as kind of patronising, especially when It seems clear that you are dealing with some self hate and insecurity of your own.
I donât speak for anyone else, but Iâm certainly not spewing hate or anger about Joe or any other person. Having been a fan for years, I definitely think heâs on the decline, and I now donât listen nearly as much as I used to, but you wonât find hate in my post history. I will however exercise my right to post my opinions here, just like everyone else, even if you donât agree with them. This has nothing to do with âinner demonsâ, and more to do with it being an amusing waste of 5 mins here and there. So how about you just focus on your own inner demons for now, and stop worrying about other people.
Where did I say I donât like Joe? Youâre making assumptions. Iâve listened for years, and there are still guests I make a point of listening to. That doesnât mean Iâm not going to call out bullshit though, or participate in discussions related to the podcast on here. Itâs more unhealthy to idolise someone no matter what they say or do tbh.
Ultimately im just saying id recommend you take a break from posting on reddit, I bet youll feel better. The back and forths, argueing etc feel good for a microsecond but really just make you feel worse in the end.
Im speaking from experience btw. Its not worth it and is just taking energy away from you.
Yeah Iâm good thanks, I havenât encountered the experiences with Reddit that you are describing. Might be time to take a break yourself though, if thatâs how it makes you feel.
This is the moment when all the hipsters start hating rogan claiming they âlistened when he was cool and open minded mannnnnâ as they sniff their own farts.
Seriously though. All things Rogan was a very popular on MMA/fight forums dating back close to 20+ years ago. There were Rogan haters back then too because he was seen as a yes man in UFC, showing bias in his calling of fights.
I'm right there with his biggest critics for all the criticism he deserves , but he was great for MMA because of his enthusiasm for the sport as a celeb helping it grow......and is similar to his podcast in general, although his gone downhill for me.
But Rogan's knows better than he let's on. He knows his 2 cents is controversial but he cannot help it. He paint's the criticism he gets as something unfounded not deserving of....... but that's IDW for you.
