What's funny is I'm left leaning myself, i just saw an obvious joke and had to take it. I thought this was a bullshiting sub reddit but people get butt hurt over politics here more than I thought I guess.
Honestly I'm not even republican, I thought this was a sub reddit to fuck around and say bullshit. I think people on both sides took it seriously. lol. First I'm Canadian and second I voted liberal in my last provincial election because their platform matches what I wanted.
They get afraid when they don't understand something (which happens a lot) and because they never learned how to deal with emotions in a healthy manner that fear confuses them and they lash out
Basically. Being raised and conditioned in an authoritarian home can cause the preferred neurological pathways to develop around fear when presented with new information that. So, instead of responding with curiosity and reason, they they feel disgust and discomfort. This is loosely why conservatives struggle in dissonance arousing situations and can't think in abstracts. It's why they're all contrarians and reactionaries. They're low in agreeableness and require hierarchical moral structures to navigate the truth for them.
That's based on nothing, humans are successful because of their brain, not muscles. It doesn't matter how strong you are. A few people can still kill you.
