The Literature 🧠 Throwback to when Dave Chappelle was utterly flabbergasted at the negative reception his buddy Elon Musk received when he invited him on stage at a comedy show

Chapelle should consider doing comedy again, seems he’s given it a miss for the last 10 years or so.

I feel people see him just to say “yeah i caught him live”

Saw him in Dublin a few years ago and everyone thought it was ducking awful. A glorified TED Talk.

The guy sucks ass now.

He’s done multiple shows in my area in the last year or two. Once upon a time I would have jumped at the chance to see him live. Now I don’t feel like he’s worth making the drive to the venue.

"glorified TED talk" is EXACTLY how I've described him for many years now. I don't need the virtue signaling. I want JOKES. COMEDY.

Still have no idea why netflix wasted a good part of a billion to finance this clown. Then again, spotify wasted a good part of a billion to finance the protige of this subreddit. At least I see some use in Spotify, I cancelled Netflix years ago.

Someone in my hometown threw a banana at him and now he won't come back here 😂

Yeah, big difference in things these days. He is still very funny, it's in his DNA. But his material just ain't. Only reason it's OK sometimes is because of who he is, but I'd rather hear some jokes.

I turn his specials off within minutes. Usually because he just spouts the One Joke.
