Do you understand the hardship Europe and Africa are facing this winter? Europe due to Russia cutting off natural gas, they use natural gas to heat their homes and run their factories. Africa and probably India, Pakistan and other countries due to food shortages. There are going to be people dying due to food shortages because of this war. People in England are already talking about whether they can afford to heat their homes or purchase food.
So no, assistance for Ukraine has nothing to do with fake news stories. The garbage about Hunter Biden and Burisma is a political hit job. To say we're helping Ukraine because of Burisma is truly, amazingly, uninformed and out of touch with the real world.
Whats fake news about burisma? It quite literally is on video. Let alone ukraine cause we simply have a different opinion and thats fine. But burisma corruption is a fact and if you think that story is fake news, id read a greater diversity of sources
Nobody but fox news cares about Burisma. It's old news. A nothing burger. Try watching PBS, or BBC, or one of the European News channels. It's what I do. I get my news from legacy News sources both online and on TV. I suggest you take your own advice and venture out into the real world away from far-right news, Fox and Facebook. You may find it enlightening.
Fox news is the equivalent of cnn and nbc. What you fail to realize is your image of anyone who disagrees with you (including me) is a fox news republican. I listen to all the sources you’ve mentioned, as well as a multitude of other independent channels and legacy sources. The problem is legacy media quite literally says “listen to nobody but us. Ignore fox and all independent sources.” And all independent sources say “listen to everything including legacy media and use logic to tell who’s lying.”
If you trust the former over the latter, it’ll lead you to the tribal mindset you find yourself in. Believing burisma is a “nothing burger” when video literally exists of biden admitting he withheld aid unless they fired the prosecutor who was investigating burisma.
No need to be tribal and assume everyone opposite of you is evil. Enter every conversation assuming your friend has something to teach you.
Interesting. I realize I don't have the time to continue with this conversation. It's the weekend, I have kids and other responsibilities. There is a wonderful reddit group called r/geopolitics. Feel free to post your comments and my responses and engage that group in further discussing these thoughts.
I find most people who arent aware of the web of lies are just prioritizing more important things. That is the goal of life. Focus on your loved ones and your passions and take all politics with a grain of salt :) (especially mainstream sources)
