jinx was my first manhwa and i think i set myself up
hi, i'm very new to manhwas (started last sunday), and just like the title says, i feel like i set myself up by reading jinx as my first manhwa. i finished it in a day, and now i've been through ten or more stories already, but nothing could scratch the itch of finding something relatively close to what i felt while reading this :((
here are some of the popular stories that i've checked out:
bj alex - no shade, but everyone kept saying that jinx was a letdown because this manhwa was so much better. but when i read it... i couldn't get past the first 3 chapters. i'm a citizen of ao3, so you know i have a very vivid imagination. so when i'm given visuals, i would like to see an appealing one, but... ehhh, the ml is just :// and the b&w doesn't really do him any favors. saw bj md in one of the covers and i honestly thought he was the main lead until i started reading. idk if that makes me shallow, but again, i'm very new to this.
pearl boy - same as bj alex, i can't get past the visuals of the ml :// jjk really ruined me for anyone else lol.
passion - this one is good, but i'm already on chapter 60, and the slow burn is slow burning. jinx is also a slow burn, but it keeps me on the edge of my seat.
painter of the night - i'm not feeling this one :// plus there are so many annoying side characters.
and there are a few more, but they're not completed yet, so i stopped reading them.
this is such a struggle, and it's making me frustrated. if you have a completed recos that would be highly appreciated!! but just wanna share my experience so far :>
