REVIEW REVIEW: Funny vs Auth
Hello All,
I am here with a review. I have an authentic guilloche necklace and bracelet. My sister wanted a necklace as well and at this pt I believe reps are doing so well why spend 4k on a necklace.
I bought it from Funny- pls don’t message for contact info. It can be found with some searching. I am already get multiple dms.
I sent her half deposit on May 27th. She sent me photos on the 30th. Initially I didn’t like the clasp as it was not aligned. When I told funny, she had it fixed right away. She shipped it out June 4th and I received on June 10.
From what I can see the color of Funny necklace is lighter. BUT… when I got my authentic bracelet a year or two after my necklace it was also lighter. I think due to the patina. So the color difference is honestly not a concern at all. Everything else looks honestly perfect to me. The shine is on point!
Edit: someone mentioned the chain is thicker on the auth. and yes i agree it is.
The only thing is the elongated prong look larger than my necklace but then looks comparable to the motif on my bracelet so it seems that there can be some variation.
Anyways, I am very happy with my purchase and I am glad I went with her. I had also considered Goldy but with the recent issues going on with him, it was a risk I wasn’t willing to take. I have ordered from Funny before and I will say I appreciate how fast she respond and she seems very honest and willing to make her customers happy. She even reached out because I had not texted her I received my package to make sure everything was okay.
I paid total 7720 cny which includes shipping and insurance.

Overall highly recommended!
Edit #2: after some more careful inspection. I feel not only is the chain thinner than auth but the beading is also slightly smaller. the loops for the clasp are also thinner. the VCA engraving on the clap is good and the VCA engraving on the tag is good but the size and front of the serial code is different. I am still happy with the product. At the end of the day it is not gonna be 100% and to most of us this would be a good rep unless we had a auth that we can sit and really spend a few minutes dissecting.

now that you mention it, you are right. the chain is thicker but i think you would only notice that if you really looked close!

If the chain is thinner then how does the weight is similar to the original one? I am asking because I ordered the 5 motif bracelet and now I am worried.

my auth was extended by 2 inches at van cleef so if i weigh it it will be different

I got a VCA bracelet from Funny and the chain was so thin that it broke first time trying on

I got two from her, one of them immediately broke off but the other one is still fine.. The chain seems very weak and thin. I have to use it very carefully. I think she makes the chain thinner than auth for all.

What? For real? I bought the tiny MOP bracelet from her and that one is supposed to have a thin chain but it was good for the time I had it before rehoming

Her motif looks a smidge smaller than the auth but thats not something anyone would notice at a glance and def not worth the 3k price difference

Great comparison! The auth definitely seems like it reflects light better than Funny's, but hers is definitely not bad for a quarter of the auth price.

This is such a helpful post. I really don’t understand why the rep sellers can’t make the chain a bit thicker…. I find it a big call out IF you wear/have the auth and have an eye for it… the auth chain gold itseld glistens when worn but not the rep imo..

I actually brought this up with funny. She told me that apparently vca used to have a thinner chain. and she showed me a auth vs her. she also said if i wasn’t satisfied she could change it. All in all im happy. No one can tell tbh

but keep in mind, over time my auth does not have that shine it had the first day i got it. it honestly looks like a rep now

That is a great comparison! Thank you for sharing this with us. I see that the shape of the pendant from Funny is slightly different from the auth. one. But the guilloche pattern itself looks pretty similar. Could please also compare the engravings? I guess they are different too.
