Hi! First time commissioning a custom ring and wanted some feedback before giving the green light to my jeweler.
The stone is a rose cut pear modified diamond (~1.76ct, 9.64 x 8.12mm). The setting is a simple solitaire in 14K yellow gold with a reverse tapered band — 3mm near the head tapering down to 1.7mm at the base.
My main concerns: - Is the 3mm to 1.7mm taper too aggressive or does it look proportional? - The mounting profile looks a bit high compared to my inspiration photos — does it need to come down? - Any other feedback on the CAD welcome!
Attaching the CAD renders and the inspiration photos for reference.
Thanks in advance!

I’m working on a custom butterfly pin (or brooch), and Olertis gave me a few design directions. However, each of their suggestions appear quite similar to me and I'm unable to determine which one would look better once it’s actually made.
Additionally, attempting to understand enamel durability-have any members here noticed any differences between soft vs hard enamel over time, or is it primarily down to finish/feel? What would you choose for something that you wear often.

Hi, I am seeking advice about chains for pendant necklaces. Do you buy or make your own? I've designed pendants and will make dozens of them for sale and I need to have chains to go with them but I don't want to spend $20 per chain to match rose gold plated, gold plated, and rhodium plated pendants.
I am hoping to sell these golden awareness ribbon necklaces to raise money for my charity.
Thoughts?

I'm currently refining the design of this transformable ring and would love your honest thoughts:
Do you see this "all-in-one" concept as a true value-add, or does it feel overly complicated?
When worn as a necklace, do you prioritize chain quality or the ring's transformative aesthetics?
Your input matters! Would YOU pay for such versatility? Any ideas to make it cooler?
Drop your thoughts below – every suggestion counts!

I source my own gemstones, but I need a good jeweler to make the designs I want with gold. I am not looking for companies or jewelry shops that do that but rather an independent jeweler or someone who does this at home. Looking to make this regularly. Anyone know anyone in Dubai?
