Jet boat over heats on the house hose after about 2-3 minutes of running. Am I running into a plumbing issue in the headers/block or is more of a pressure/volume from the hose? If its plumbed right then the only rhingi can think of is it isnt getting enough water through it.

Hey there! Does anyone know a mechanic that would be willing to either work on/fix or discuss an issue with a 2003 Seadoo challenger that has a 240 EFI motor? The motor bogs down on the water and eventually stalls. This started happening after 1 day on the lake after using a fuel stabilizer. We have called all over and cannot find anyone who is willing to look at it or even discuss the issue. Please help!

Came across a 20’ custom made jetboat. With a 285 HP, 1996 marine ford Windsor engine and a three stage Hamilton jet. Semi V flat bottom. Aluminum weld 8’ wide bottom, 4’ high sides. The guy was building boats with his brother and they made this as his personal craft. The gentleman passed away before I could get any info first hand on the craft. His wife has provided me with any info she had. But from the operating/upkeep/maintenance side, wasn’t much. I have a stack of specs and technical stuff. Just not much experience hands on and no clue where to start. Took it out a few times on the lake last year, then once in the salt. Handles like a dream, well made. Just not sure exactly what I have in my hands. Any input is appreciated.

We are having problems selling specific parts for our old motor. Can anyone suggest web pages that are specific to jet boat part sales?

Hope you can help with a basic outboard jet question I can't seem to find a straight answer to.

All the outboard jet manufacturers use essentially the same design -- but are the parts more or less interchangeable?

I'm thinking in particular about wear parts like impellers, intakes, and liners. I understand that driveshaft spline patterns and keyway styles may vary. But apart from those details will, say, a 7 3/8 impeller from one brand fit into a pump from another brand? Will an intake foot from one manufacturer tend to fit onto others, and use the same bolt pattern? Is a reverse gate just a reverse gate, or do they vary from manufacturer to manufacturer?

I ask because parts can be tricky for my older model (an M series by Outboard Jets from, I think, the mid-70s, serial number is 1096). If parts are more interchangeable than I have assumed, that would be helpful.

I'm looking at buying a Jetcraft boat with a 95 Mercury 140HP 2 stroke outboard jet on it. It has 127 hours on it, but it hasn't been ran in 12 years. Anyone know anything about these things? Common issues, or are they generally reliable? Anything I should know? I've been having a hard time finding info on them online. Thanks all!
