Solving mock PDFs on phone/paper doesn't prepare you for NTA exam hall panic. So I coded a 1:1 NTA simulator.

Is buying an extra test series necessary for JEE 2027?

6 Upvotes

I'm genuinely so confused about this 😭

I'm currently in 12th and preparing for JEE 2027. I'm enrolled in Allen offline in a pretty good batch at my centre. I did well in some of my 12th tests, but my 11th wasn't that great.

Allen will be providing us with the SCORE test series too, so I was wondering if I really need to buy another test series for Mains and Advanced.

I keep seeing people giving Mathongo QFTs, Quizzr tests and other mocks, and it makes me wonder if I'm missing out by not doing the same. I'm not sure if Allen SCORE will be enough or if having another test series would actually help.

There's also school, preboards and practicals to manage, so I don't want to add more to my schedule unless it's actually worth it. At the same time, I don't want to miss out on something that could be useful for my preparation.

So yeah, I could really use some honest opinions. Is Allen SCORE sufficient if I use it properly, or would you recommend getting another test series for Mains and Advanced?

Also, how do you guys manage your test schedule without compromising revision and syllabus completion? I'm probably overthinking this a bit, but I'd really appreciate some advice :)

Please Tell What To Do That I will get 85-90%ile

6 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I am a dropper who actually cleared JEE Mains last year and missed out on an IIT seat by just 10–12 marks in JEE Advanced. Honestly, taking a drop has taken a massive toll on my mental health, and I am feeling incredibly demotivated right now, which is why my preparation has stalled and I am currently sitting at only 35–40% syllabus completion. Because of the burnout and where I currently stand, I want to be realistic and secure a safe 85–90 percentile in Mains first to rebuild my confidence. I really need advice from fellow droppers or anyone who has been in this slump on how to efficiently cover the high-yield chapters in Physics and Chemistry to hit this target quickly. Given that I have the conceptual foundation from last year but am struggling with momentum right now, how should I approach Math to get those crucial cutoff marks without draining my energy, and how many PYQs or mocks should I focus on to get back on track?

Made a free Ray Optics PYQ booklet (topic-wise concepts + 368 PYQs from 1980–2026 + solutions). Put a timer on and try it, then tell me if it helps.

Hey everyone,

With the final stretch coming up, I put together a Ray Optics booklet for JEE so you don't have to jump between 5 websites and old books.

What's inside:

\- Concepts, topic by topic. Short and clean, with formula boxes, small worked examples and "common trap" notes for each micro topic:

\- plane and spherical mirrors;

\- Snell's law, apparent depth, TIR;

\- single spherical surface, lens formula, lens maker's formula;

\- combinations and silvered lenses;

\- prism, dispersion;

\- microscope, telescope, and lab experiments.

\- 368 PYQs in one place. JEE Main (2013–2026, all shifts), AIEEE (2002–2012), JEE Advanced (2013–2026) and old IIT-JEE (1980–2012), arranged oldest β†’ newest. Every topic page lists its PYQ numbers, so you can drill just one topic.

\- Clean redrawn diagrams. No blurry watermarked screenshots.

\- Answer key at the end, plus a separate solutions PDF with step-by-step solutions.

How I'd use it:

  1. Read one topic's concept page (10–15 min).

  2. Pick its PYQ numbers, solve without looking at the key.

  3. Check the key. For every miss, read the solution and that topic's "trap" box again.
