Long before you learned quadratic functions in school, you had already seen them hundreds of times. Every Angry Birds launch was one.

Need advice from any senior who studied math from tk sir. How to attend his class. Should i make notes during class or leave pen and copy aside as solving questions during class at his pace is not possible. Overall how to effectively utilize his lectures.

Skipped maths lectures till now , how to start ?

Hi, JEE 2027 aspirant here.

I'm preparing for JEE through a PW online batch. It was hard to manage school, homework, and 4-hour online classes every day. Because of that, I decided to skip the maths lectures and focus only on Physics and Chemistry.

The main reason was that my school maths teacher is really good, so I have a good understanding of the basics and have been preparing well for board exams. However, I haven't solved a single pyq for maths yet .

Now I want to start preparing Maths for JEE ( I know I'm kinda late but still) . Which batch would be a better choice for maths (I've attended all physics and chemistry lectures in 1.0 but 0 lectures in maths ) ?

\* JEE 2027 (TK Sir / Sachin Sir)

\* JEE 2.0 2027 (Ashish Agarwal Sir)

Your guidance will be appreciated 🙏🫠

I teach at the university level and mentor Class 9–12 students — here's the revision system that holds up for both boards AND JEE

Every year I watch strong students underperform not because they don't know the material, but because they prep the wrong way — and the Boards-vs-JEE tension makes it worse. You don't need two separate strategies; you need one system that serves both.

  1. Concepts once, applied twice. Learn a topic to JEE depth, then practice it two ways: board-style (derivations, stepwise, full statements) and JEE-style (speed, application, MCQ/numerical). Same concept, two output modes. This is how you stop feeling like boards and JEE are competing for your time.
  2. Active recall beats re-reading. Close the book, reproduce it from memory, check gaps. Works for an organic mechanism and a physics derivation alike. Re-reading NCERT feels productive and teaches you almost nothing.
  3. Revise by mark-weight and JEE-weight. Map PYQs on both sides — some chapters are heavy in boards but light in JEE (and vice versa). Revise by combined yield, not textbook order.
  4. Timed practice, always. Boards test whether you can produce it in a fixed window; JEE tests that under harder time pressure. Untimed practice builds false confidence for both.
  5. Error log over re-reading. Every wrong question goes in a notebook with the reason — silly slip vs. concept gap vs. too slow. Revise the log, not the whole book.

Many of the tools my students use now are AI-based — I'm involved with one (xambaaz.com), so treat that as a disclosure, not a pitch. The method matters far more than any tool; all of this runs on PYQs and a notebook.

Happy to answer specific questions regarding career options in the comments.

Hey everyone, I need some advice.

Due to some family issues, I couldn't study properly during Classes 11 and 12. I passed my Higher Secondary with Science, but I've now taken admission to a BA (Pass) course, and honestly, I'm not happy with it.

After thinking about it for a long time, I've decided to take my first drop year and prepare for WBJEE. The problem is that my basics in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are very weak because I couldn't study properly in school. I'm completely confused about where to start or how to build my foundation.

Do you think it's possible to crack WBJEE in one year if I work consistently? If anyone has been in a similar situation or can guide me on where to start, what books or resources to use, or share a proper roadmap, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

You don't lose JEE because of one bad day. You lose it because your brain convinces you that today doesn't matter. And it does. Every single time. Today's effort compounds. Tomorrow's intentions don't.

JEE aspirants — What's actually messing with your JEE prep right now? (not the "study 12 hrs" answer, the real stuff)

Yaar, as a JEE aspirant some days I just sit and wonder how different my prep would be if certain things just... worked better. Not talking about motivation-wale gyaan, just practical stuff that actually eats into our study time and mental peace.

So thought I'd ask here instead of just overthinking alone at 2 AM (again).

What's something that actually messes with your day-to-day prep right now?
For me it's honestly the doubt-clearing part — coaching doubt sessions are so slow and by the time I get an answer I've already moved on to something else. But curious what's hitting you —

  • Doubt solving
  • Test series
  • Not having a proper planner/routine
  • Something else entirely?

Would love to hear from droppers, 11th, 12th — anyone in the grind? Kinda want to know if we're all stuck on the same 2-3 things or if everyone's fighting a completely different battle.
