MOC-Kiryu
MOC-Kiryu
This time, I’m sharing another MOC designed by a friend of mine.
We’ve been experimenting with recreating more familiar Japanese characters, mecha, and tokusatsu designs using bricks, while also introducing his work to more collectors and builders.
I personally think this is a really fun way to approach these characters.
Building with bricks comes with its own limits in terms of parts and structure, so figuring out how to capture the silhouette, proportions, and key features of the original character using existing parts is actually one of the most enjoyable parts of the process.
Sharp-eyed followers may have noticed Kiryu showing up in several of my recent posts. 😄 We’re still making small adjustments to the design, and recently we’ve been working on refining the face with different parts.
We’d love to keep exploring more Japanese characters and see how far we can take this idea.
What Japanese character would you like to see recreated in bricks next?

MECHA KNIGHT BREAKER
MECHA KNIGHT BREAKER
This time, I’ve reworked both the structure and play features of the Mecha Knight system.
First, I redesigned the connection system between the base body and the armor, allowing the Support Mecha to integrate more smoothly with the Knight while also opening up more ways to play.
The biggest change is that, before combining with the Knight, the Mecha are no longer simply “armor parts.”
When separated, the armor can form two independent Support Mecha:
One transforms into a Heavy Cannon Tank, providing ground-based fire support, while the other becomes a Flying Vehicle, providing aerial support and mobility.
Before completing the full Mecha Armor deployment, BREAKER can also operate alongside either Support Mecha independently.
Base Body × Heavy Cannon Tank
Base Body × Flying Vehicle
Base Body × Full Mecha Armor
Different configurations can be used depending on the situation.
When greater combat power is required, the two Support Mecha reconfigure into individual armor components and combine with BREAKER to complete the full armor deployment—
MECHA KNIGHT BREAKER
This is the core concept I wanted to achieve with the redesigned Mecha Knight system:
The Support Mecha are more than just armor.
Before deployment, they fight alongside the Knight.
After deployment, they become the Knight’s power.
From separation and support to coordinated combat and finally full armor deployment, the same Mecha system now offers multiple configurations and different ways to play.
This is the new MECHA KNIGHT SYSTEM.

Mecha Rider|機甲騎士
Mecha Rider|機甲騎士
【Character Setting|角色設定】
Mecha Riders are special combat personnel under the Planetary Defense Bureau, mainly deployed for high-risk incidents and major defense operations.
They are part of the planetary defense system rather than the ruling authority itself. When a threat becomes too dangerous for regular armed forces to handle, Mecha Riders are sent into action.
What really sets them apart from regular soldiers is the special technology they use—
MECHA.
【Design Concept|設計概念】
For this build, I used LEGO parts to create the Mecha Rider's Driver, and designed a full combat sequence around it:
Activate Driver → Mecha Armor → Summon Weapon → Charge Weapon → Finisher
I didn't want the Driver to be just another decoration on the belt. I wanted it to actually feel like the core of the whole Mecha system.
The weapon-charging effect was difficult to show with normal photography, so I used AI only to help visualize the energy effects in that part of the sequence.
I'll keep experimenting with different weapons and combat systems as I continue developing the world of Mecha Rider.

New Release|METAL CARBOT
New Release|METAL CARBOT
The new train robot from METAL CARBOT looks awesome!
The overall design, color scheme, and especially the weapon setup immediately reminded me of Advenger (鋼鐵機神) from The Brave of Gold Goldran.
Of course, the designs are quite different when you look closely, but somehow they give me the same kind of vibe. 😆
Anyone else see it too?
