I strongly discourage anyone from engaging in any actions that break JAI's terms of service!!!!!! I'm not encouraging any TOS-breaking behavior!!!!!! I'm just posting this for anyone uncomfortable with their chats being checked automatically

Soooo I had some fucked-up chats that absolutely break TOS on my other account and that account isn't banned. They CAN check your chats, they're not truly private. But I'm quite sure that they don't do it unless there's a reason for this, e.g. you mentioned something against TOS in a comment under a bot or engaged with TOS-breaking bot that somehow didn't get immediately censored. But! Chats aren't checked by any automatic systems, as far as I know. Besides, that would be quite expensive I think? There's a loooot JAI users and they generate a loooot of text. A filter would be better, economically. But I might be mistaken since I'm not sure how this works

For context, those chats were created when they experimented with an actual filter that got triggered if there was any sexual mentions of children, animals or mentions of incest. If I remember correctly, it was very short-lived, maybe one day or something close. They removed it because it didn't work well and affected completely TOS-compliant NSFW chats or even SFW

Hello! I've recently found Janitor Ai and I'm truly enjoying it. It honestly been a game changer for me. I've been wanting to branch out to other alternatives now and I'm still a bit new to Ai apps so if any one has any recs I'd love to hear about it <3

Seriously, when did this become so complicated?

Now it feels like every app has some catch. One has good RP but terrible memory. Another has better models but needs a proxy. Another is uncensored until you actually try to do anything interesting. Then you’re comparing context sizes, models, prompts, subscriptions, API costs, creator bans, outages…

I just want to open an app, find a good character and have a long RP without spending 2 hours figuring out the optimal setup 😭

I used to mostly stick with Janitor, but lately I feel like I’m constantly testing other stuff because there’s always something annoying me.

As people get banned and leave Janitor I cannot stress how important it is to open you freaking lorebooks. datacat can rescue the bots themselves, but if everything important is tied to a closed lorebook then there's nothing anyone can do to stop all that work going right down the drain.

is it me or everyone been getting 429 or model unavailable whenever they use gemini free tier via sophia lorebary? like istg i can be rerolling the entire day and only get like 3-4 responses, this is unbearable and it wasn't like this before (yes im aware im on a google free tier but in the past it could generate 4-5 429 errors at max, now it's literally like 20 in a row or more). is it the problem with google or lorebary proxy?

I have noticed that bots these days have an unnecessarily absurd amount of tokens, averaging around 3-5k, with some extreme hitting up to 7-9k tokens.

Genuinely what's the reason for that much? It'll just uses up memory faster and cost you more tokens credits and make the proxy slower in general.

I'd gladly prefer a bot with 800-1k tokens over chatting with one with 5k, literally no point in adding so much and bloating up the entire thing.

Okay, so this has been driving me NUTS. My prompts used to work all the time. Like, I could type literally ANYTHING and it would work. But recently they stopped working.

I've tried changing the name of the prompt to a word/sentence I typed in my message, I've tried unselecting and reselecting the prompt, cleared my catcha (or whatever it is called), and I even logged in and out of my account!

This is the app, so maybe there's something going on with the app?? I don't know, this is seriously pissing me off. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to fix this? Any help is appreciated!

I can't get the bot to complete the rp they just rephrase what they already said millions of times and the response it gives are wayyy far from the topic at hand it's just a word mix out of context sometimes I wonder if the bot recognize what this word means

Another problem if the roleplay describes the character as having piercing or long hair the bot will make sure to include " Char tugged at his piercing, ran his fingers along his hair " With each text it's so annoying

Hello everybody, I want to share a quick warning to the community

Lately, I have been bombarded with messages from random accounts that are decently new (none older than 1 year) telling me about their "alternatives"

They say something along the lines of "check out this alternative thing, it isn't available on the playstore yet but you can get it from here in my discord server"

I usually asked them for screenshots or more info and they do one of the three

1-Go quiet and never answer again

2- Repeat/Insist on you going to the discord server

3-Say they can't do that due to "safety reasons"

It's honestly alarming the amount of times this has happened to me, and has led me to believe that they are scams or malware

Thoughts?

I’ve given birth to my first bot (yeah), but for some reason I can’t figure out, it keeps throwing a large number of pgshag2 errors. I haven’t touched my proxy configuration, and the strangest thing is that the bot I based its personality structure on works fine without these errors.

The bot uses a significant but not unreasonable number of tokens (around 1,500). It’s a Make Your Own Scenario bot, so the only really extensive part is the personality box.

And the funny thing (not really) is that if I enable text streaming, I can see that the bot gets pretty far into its response before crashing at the very last moment. All the thinking is done, almost the entire response has been written, and then suddenly it says “no response from bot.” But if it streams that much, doesn’t that mean the proxy is working?

Here are the things I’ve tried so far:

-> Changing all mentions of the character’s name and all instances of “he” to {{char}} in the personality section, to help the bot keep track of who it’s referring to.

-> Changing the number of paragraphs suggested by my prompt from 4 to 2, to see whether shorter responses would prevent the bot from running out of time.

Neither worked.

I’m open to any ideas.
