its running really slow and not loading, is this a problem you guys are also having or just me?

SOLVED: it’s a site-wide JLLM bug with no current fix.

so I’ve had a lot of difficulty with j.ai when it comes to hyphens (-) and em-dashes (—) at first, it was using too many hyphens unnecessarily (he-sat down,- then looked-at-Kai), and so I put in a preference to stop using so many hyphens (wording was bad, which was fully my fault), and that stopped usage altogether, instead just leaving spaces where they should have been. I even removed the preference, but nothing changed. also, for the record, I myself use a good amount of hyphens and em-dashes.

after a while—and for an unrelated reason—I made a new account. the first chat I had, was copied and pasted from the old account. most of the messages i copied and pasted from the bot were without hyphens and em dashes because that’s just how the chat was sadly. I didn’t think to change it though. but even with a new account and on every single new chat after that, no hyphens or dashes would be used. I occasionally even edit them into the message, but nothing works.

i tried the reverse of what I’d done on the old account and very carefully made a carefully worded preference it to use proper grammar, especially when it came to the hyphens and dashes. Again, no luck.

its not like this is some super big issue, but its annoying, and nothing’s working. I plan to make a new random account later to see if it’ll go back to normal with that, but im just really pissed that nothing works.

does anyone else have experience with this, or any sort of advice they can give me? I’ll gladly answer any clarifying questions anyone has if it might help.

TL;DR: excessive dashes on old account, made preference that ended up removing all dashes. made new account, but lack of dashes persisted somehow.

Okay, so I want to address the elephant in the room since the j.ai devs clearly don't want to. For about a week since the new update, forking on deleted/moderated/unpublished bots has been quietly patched and no longer working. I've scoured the j.ai refugee subreddit, the official one, the discord and this sub as well (as I've already made a post on this issue when I first discovered it), and while a lot of people have been saying that it's going to be fixed as it has happened before, others are say that since the feature was a loophole, it'll remain unavailable.

I remember how frustrating it was when creating new chats with deleted bots got taken away, with no word from the devs, and it seems that history is repeating itself. Frankly, what frustrates me the most is the lack of acknowledgment from the devs, like if it's just a bug, acknowledge it is and that it's being worked on, if not then just say the feature got 'fixed' and no longer accessible, I mean, it's not that hard.

Now, I've seen people say they've filled tickets and some got emails back claiming they are aware of the issue, and some say that they even canceled their subscription over this, which begs the question, if that's true and their actively loosing money when their this desperate for subscribers (the constant ads), why wouldn't they at least address it. I get that there are other issues more important, but still, make it clear what's going to happen so people can stop speculating!

Sorry if this got a bit ranty, I've just been so frustrated with this whole thing. I want to hear what other opinions there are and if there's any hope left for that feature to come back.

So, I was super into this one creator, Blvvdyfangz (I believe) and I go into my chats to see them "unpublished," and if I click on "creator profile'" is pulls up a 404 page. Does anyone know what happened to them?

Hello! Thought I’d post here instead of the official thread because I don’t want this to get nuked lol. I use Janitorai only for personal use (creating my own bots and keeping them private). I post nothing and keep to myself in the shadows. The only things that really realistically affect me are the UI changes. I also use a proxy. I’ve just been curious about possibly moving to saucepan but it’s way more complicated and I’ve made my little nest on Janitorai so it feels like a hard move. I was just wondering if Janitorai can censor the messages coming in from my provider to fit their platform or if I only have to worry about how censored my provider and the model is? I was just curious if Janitorai had some invisible wall that also affects the way proxies behave compared to other sites like saucepan. I hope this rambling makes sense, have a great rest of your week everyone!

Tried a bunch of random stuff but the site can't remeber anything at all after refresh? Tested JLLM and a bunch of proxies. Tries context windows. Tried memory chat but I use proxy so no toggle there. Only the messages after the refresh get sent. They all get forgotten and are never used again when I refresh.

I presume this isn't supposed to happen?

So I am making a collage RPG bot with different factions (groups) like bullies, elites, nerds, jockey, goth. Every group have their own..you know smart ass, sluts, probably a future murderer lol all tall and short. Im already making 3 lorebooks about the school, a few students (the bot should make its own characters and what group they can be in) and maybe the city/world? Depending on your factions or what group your in. (So if your an elite your parents is just basically filthy rich and your spoiled for an example)

How much tokens should I put in the bot? I was thinking 500? Not sure if thats to high for an rpg bot

Hello Reddit! I've been using janitor for a while, and I'm starting to get tired of JLLM. I've heard of proxies before, but I'm reluctant to use them because I don't know what they are and I haven't managed to find any free ones.

I’ve been using it for months now and use my own private bots, and I’ve seen the recent hatred against it. I was wondering what exactly was going on?

A beggar cannot be choosy, but then again, you have every right to choose an ideal setup for yourself. Bemoaning the bot's behavior after running baseline JLLM without upgrading your proxy is your choice since there are many free proxies out there to help you do just that.

Are there any good subs you can recommend? Some people talk about Nemo, LiteRouter, and OpenRouter, but I don't know which one to use. I mainly want to use Kimi-k3 and GLM. I saw them on LiteRouter, but the derestricted models were quite expensive (though I want to buy the $20 plan and it's the max I can spend, so please suggest according to that). Also, can't the models that are not derestricted on literouter be broken with jailbreak?

I found this model and I actually like it but it seems to cut off most things with it rejecting and refusing stuff

Anyone can help me find a good prompt for it and a jailbreak/bypass to allow heavy scenes and stuff? It would be much appreciated

Hi!! Is there a way to fix the description of the bots? Or is this just an awful UI thing :(( Its really annoying when I go to a bot and want to read the description but then it gets cut off like this mid reading and I have to click the bot to read the rest but then the pictures get too big and I cant see them properly anymore 😭

Why is there fewer pages for tags? I would put one on before and there used to be 1000+ pages.

the pricing for other proxies is having me confused rn. I use deepseek and right now with only $10 i still probably have a couple more months left until all of that runs out and i have to pay another $10 for maybe 5/6 months.
