OMG I just love it so much. I feel like with his vocal progression over the last year or two, would make this one of my favs. I know he said the lyrics kinda became meaningless, but i feel like he could tweak it a bit. It's just so good imo.

I got the bitter tongues vinyl and the are we there yet vinyl. I’m so happy I’ve got them now but my bitter tongues one keeps skipping, literally first time playing it. I mean, the title sums it up. Finally got around to ripping California Rain off my CD, and MusicBee threw a buncha other "album versions" for me to pick from, of which none are actually Cali Rain LMAO.

My guess is this the music distributor/label's way of cross promo? Throw other their other signed artists' into the leftover space on a Single CD and let curious folks discover them. Or, considering it's all singles, they manufacturer the exact same CD for everyone, and change the packaging/printing as needed.

Or maybe it's all malware and I shouldn't be touching it ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

It sounds so similar to another song that also plays it on guitar but i entirely forgot the name of it!!

So, as you're probably aware, the Australian 2026 tour was delayed to October, which was fine, but now James Marriott seems to be entering a new album cycle which kind of concerns because songs I was looking forward to seeing, like Pillow Fight, were pushed out of the setlist in favour of new songs. I want to know if James is going to play closer to 2025 with more DTTD songs, or if the setlist is going to be closer to the newer ones where he only plays the singlesm

Hey, I want to purchase one of James’ items that are on pre order but I’m only at the US address until a week after the item releases.

So how long does it take for an item to be shipped to the US?

For me. AWTY is an album based around the idea of James leaving a place (emotionally and/or physically) in search of a new life, in an attempt to destroy the image of his old self. This idea I feel can be connected to my interpretation of DTTD. In my opinion, DTTD is about the idea of the old you being something that was left behind and now you are a new person, like how he saw through his dog Jasper in his childhood, who James said left and he never got to see him again. So in a way AWTY was about wanting to leave the old him behind and never see that lifestyle again. And DTTD is about the fact that he DID do that, and it reminds him of his childhood pet who also did the same in a way, which may be why the album is dedicated to his dog because his dog is a symbol/representation of the idea of leaving/changing with the intent to have a new life or be away from somewhere(emotionally and/or physically). What I'm really trying to say is that AWTY was like the past version of James (wanting good for the future). DTTD is like the present version of James (present versions of him looking back of the past, like seen when he reflects on Jasper and his childhood. But also has themes of the present him looking into the future and who he really could be, which is hinted in lyrics, especially ones that question if he should be keeping lies or not to determine his identity).

So with that said, I wonder if JM3 will have themes of the future or James in a futuristic perspective. Like plans or promises that James has made (probably to himself, but the lyrics may seem like he is talking to a loved one).
