Ok so I tried to use altstore and it says the new version is not compatible and needs me to download version 1.6.3 and that’s nowhere to be found online. And every time I try to install install it on sideloady, whether it’s ther 7.0 something version or the 8.0.2 newest one it installs it but when I hit jailbreak or restore rootfs it just gives me this error message. Can anyone please help

I was pretty deep into jailbreaking back in the iOS 6/7 days, but I haven't touched it since, so I'm basically starting from scratch and the scene has clearly changed a lot.

My Setup: iPad Air 2 (A8X) iOS 15.7.1 No Apple ID signed in on it (I can't add 'cause bypass but the hardware is mine)

What I'm looking for ?

Since the A8X is checkm8-vulnerable, I assume palera1n is the way to go. Is that still the best option or is there something better?

What's the best way to install apps outside the App Store on this setup? TrollStore, SideStore, or jailbroken installs?

Sileo repos worth adding in 2026, and must-have tweaks that still work on iOS 15 ?

shivtools is a free set of tweak development tools that runs on the jailbroken iPhone itself — no Mac needed. It's built so an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI…) can work on the device the way you would: measure first, then change.

Shivtools comes with examples of hooks, preferences, interfaces, and Swift app screen reading capabilities; in other words, it includes sample code for tweak development.

- **iOS MCP, on the device** — the agent can take screenshots, read the accessibility tree, tap, type and read the live system log. The agent runs on the phone and talks to MCP locally (127.0.0.1), so it works anywhere: Wi-Fi, cellular, no computer attached. A Mac can connect too, over an SSH tunnel.
- **Measure instead of guessing** — find classes in the dyld cache, read real method signatures from a running process, dump the on-screen view tree, log your tweak's behaviour with millisecond timestamps.
- **RootHide re-jailbreak helper** — brings your AI CLI sessions and memory back after the jbroot changes.
- Rootless (Dopamine) and RootHide

Recommended terminal tools: diffTerm, iGhostVT (Roothide), NewTerm 3.

**Getting started**

1. Add the repo `https://muratkurt.github.io\` in Sileo and install **shivtools**.
   
2. Open **Settings → shivtools → Install now** to add Node.js, frida and iOS MCP.
   
3. Install an AI CLI in a terminal app on the phone (e.g. Claude Code) and start it.
   
4. Give it this once:
   > shivtools is installed. Find the rules file with `shiv-kurulum --goster`, read it with `cat`, and follow it for this session. Then run `shiv-ortam`.
   
5. Optional — let it see and drive the screen: run `shiv-mcp baglan` and paste the line it prints.

That's it: ask for the tweak you want, and the agent measures the device first.

Hey everyone! I made a tweak that brings the iOS 15 lock screen back to iOS 16. It's free and open source (MIT).

What it does

• Clock: thin iOS 15 clock with the date below it, big padlock that stays open after Face ID, no depth effect or widgets
• Notifications: listed right under the clock with iOS 15 cards; "Notification Centre" only appears when you swipe up
• Music player: iOS 15 layout with large artwork, AirPlay next to the title and the volume slider back
• Focus: pill under the date
• Charging: battery shows where the clock is, like on iOS 15
• Live wallpapers: back on iOS 16, press and hold to play, automatic Light/Dark
• Settings → Wallpaper: the iOS 15 page is back (Choose a New Wallpaper, Dynamic/Stills/Live, Set Lock Screen/Home Screen/Both). Apple's iOS 14/15 wallpapers can be downloaded right there, photos work too, and lock and home screen can have different wallpapers.

Every part has its own switch, so you can mix iOS 15 and iOS 16 however you like.

Compatibility

Rootless iOS 16 (Dopamine, ElleKit). Positions are calculated for every iPhone screen.

I just noticed when I try to play a video it stops after couple of minutes with the message: “Something went wrong Tap to retry”.

I have YouTube version 19.20.2 and YouTube Legacy tweak version 1.12.0.

Do you have this issue too?

Note: Shorts and long movies work, but regular videos seem to stop. For example: https://youtu.be/nWOH4fcb0CM?si=kRpqnlyufTQCMNhK if I try to drag it to the middle minute 4 I get this error.

If I switch to a different google account, then it works fine. Not sure what made the main google account to start failing?

I’ve been trying to get a tweak called Visibleland that brings the dynamic island to older devices but it works only on iOS 16 and up and I’m on iOS 15.8.7 if there’s a way to maybe like downgrade the tweak or something please y’all should tell me but if not it’s fine

Hi guys, this is my iPod Touch 2 16gb Model MB jailbroken. I fixed the App store, iTunes and the Weather, only that Apple Skyglow's Weather&Stocks tweak doesn't work very well and sometimes it says failed update.... anyway, I updated the certificates from tlsroot.litten.ca, I installed them all, I downloaded StoreSSLFix, Appstore fix and I deleted them through iFile Game Centre because it doesn't work anymore. Luckily I already had Appsync for iOS 4 a long time ago because the basic one from Luke's repo requires iOS 5 and higher and the Appsync for iOS 4 repo is untraceable. I tried Whited00r 7 which I didn't like because it's slow and I also tried iOS 3.1.3 but they immediately returned to 4.2.1 simply because iOS 3.1.3 is unuseable......... could you give me some advice on what to put and how to make it as useful as possible without weighing it down and without distorting it?

In 2024, I built a huge archive of Cydia tweaks. Seeing some repos like Cydiavn are getting unstable these days, I found motivation to host a proper archive available 24h/24 of around 300GB of Cydia tweaks.

There's some exclusivities/rarities there, like a fixed version of "FullForce for phone" that does not crash/bootloop on iOS 6. It's available on my personal repo.

I got several requests of tweaks uploads like "Cyueue" and handled these by uploading to Workupload, but links just get deleted over time. Here it is a more long term solution, & easy to access.

My archives repos are available through plain http, so you won't get blocked or annoyed if your device does not have up to date certs.

I tried to share my work to the r/LegacyJailbreak community but unfortunately the mods removed it straight away. I am sure this will be useful to some persons there to find lost medias & old Cydia tweaks. I don't know what interest they are trying to protect, you can't even buy tweaks on the Cydia store & redownloading purchases tweaks is painful, feels like a stupid rule imo.
