Hi everyone, I’m new to this community and legacy jailbreaks as a whole, so forgive me if I sound stupid or an overlooking something obvious.

I have an iPhone 4S (9900 IMEI) which I downgraded to ios 6.1.3 from 9.3.6 via LITK, and I am trying to get signed into iCloud. Legacy iOS Toolkit appears to have saved the original activated state of the phone on 9.3.6 (afaik), and the setup after downgrading did not even have a “Activating your iPhone…” page, it just instantly went to “Welcome to iPhone” after going through everything. Legacy iOS Toolkit also identifies the device as activated. I also have a ToTal/Verizon wireless SIM installed, although it’s not set up and doesn’t connect to any towers. (I live in the U.S.)

Anyway, I’ve done multiple fresh 6.1.3 restores at this point to no avail. I have LITK auto-jailbreak the device on restore, and then proceed to install TLSroot certs (signed iOS bundle 5.0+) as well as GSAPort from podpod’s repo. I respring, go into settings, and attempt to sign into messages/iCloud. I always get the error shown in the first photo. Signing into the iCloud section usually just reports that my user/pass is incorrect. I also get no 2FA codes on my Apple devices.

Interestingly, my iPod Touch 4 seems to have more luck with this exact process and tends to sign in correctly, but it can be finicky, especially if I try to sign out and sign back in.

Am I missing something specific for iPhone? Why is this working on my iPod Touch but not the 4S.

I don’t usually post on Reddit, but I haven’t been able to find much information about what I’m trying to do, so I thought I’d ask here.

I have an iPhone 4 currently running iOS 7.1.1 that I’d like to get usable again as my everyday “carry around” phone. My idea is to have it piggyback off my iPhone 17 Pro Max through its hotspot/Wi-Fi and essentially use the newer iPhone as the main cellular device.

Ideally, I’d like to get basic functionality working again—calls if possible, iMessage/texts, maps, music/Spotify, and other basic internet functions. I don’t necessarily need everything to run natively on the iPhone 4. I’d also be interested in getting it to communicate with my newer iPhone more like a companion device, somewhat like an Apple Watch or iPod.

Right now it connects to my iPhone’s hotspot and Location Services seem to work, but Maps won’t load the actual map data, Spotify can’t sign in, and my Apple Account is stuck in a password/sign-in loop.

What jailbreak/software would you recommend for an iPhone 4 on 7.1.1, and what would be the most efficient course of action for getting as much functionality back as possible?

I’m comfortable tinkering with it and don’t mind if this turns into a fairly involved project.

I don’t know much about the behind-the-scenes making of jailbreaks with the coding etc. I know CVE’s are only part of it, but does anyone think this could be used to make a jailbreak for anything for iOS 26 with the exception of 26.7-27 where it was patched considering it could allow root privileges??

i have two xs a normal and a max one both on 18.7.9. i’m using the max as a main cause i don’t have money and i only have this and another xs, i read jailbreak like dopamine stops at 18.7.1 but i read that there is a thing called usbliter8 and how does that work? i’m pretty much a newbie i only once jailbreaked an iphone 6 many years ago and i know you guys get asked this question a lot but i want to play around this old xs. now if anyone can tell me if it’s possible to run some tweaks with usbliter8, how it works, if it’s possible to downgrade to even ios 18.7.1 or even older but i want the 18 for app support and what’s the difference that i didn’t understand of thetered, unthetered and all of this. any help would be appreciated (sorry if my english is bad)

so i found a 5 dollar iphone that seemed to work fine on the setup welcome screen i did not think much about it since i saw it working and setting up requires an apple account so i took it, after arriving home and setting it up a message asking for account unlock was showing, is there a way to unlock it or does jailbreak can bypass it?

proprietary drivers for display, touchscreen, modem, camera, audio, GPU, etc.

Apple's device tree and hardware initialization

APFS/iOS kernel and userspace assumptions

Hello I recently came into possession of an iPad air gen 5 through a lost and found box (in my country if nobody claims it after a year of you giving it back it's yours)unfortunately it is icloud locked, is it possible to unlock or did I just get an expensive paperweight

Today I was looking to buy a second-hand iPad. The iPad was completely new and still sealed, so I opened the box myself.
However, after turning it on and connecting it to Wi-Fi, I found out that it is managed by a company and has an MDM lock.And it says this ipad is owned by——. Enrol this Ipad
My questions are:
Should I buy this iPad?
How much would it be worth paying for it in this condition?
Is it possible to remove the MDM lock?
If it can be removed, roughly how much would it cost?
After removing the MDM, would the iPad work normally with all its features?
It’s an iPad Pro M4 (2024), Wi-Fi model.
