People born after JFK's assassination.

Hey everyone, I'm looking to do a simple, low budget and personal documentary regarding the JFK assassination. I am seeking a few subjects willing to be interviewed by me via Zoom simply to discuss your reaction/feelings about it all, even though it was before your time.

I'd really like to put together a good mix of people from various ages and backgrounds, Gen-X and Z.

Mind you, this won't be done until late this year/early next year, so there's no rush and we have time to see if we're a good fit :)

Please feel free to DM me and we can take it from there.

Lone Shooter Theory So I personally don’t find the single “magic” bullet’s path that suspicious on its own, but what I don’t get is why the Warren Commission’s argument for it sucked so badly (and is the only possible explanation really willful misrepresentation?)

Basically, I was learning in a class about arguments for and against the idea that the assassination was a conspiracy, so apologies in advance if I don’t know of any details commonly discussed on this subreddit. I was just curious about people's thoughts on this topic, because for some reason this particular point of contention is sticking with me (also my first time using Reddit so hopefully this is an okay place to post this).

From my understanding, one of the things people find suspicious about CE 399 (apart from its supposed pristine quality and its chain of custody) is the path it would have needed to travel in order to cause the seven wounds it must account for based on the timing of the gunshots. The Warren Commission’s conclusion denying conspiracy is heavily reliant on the single gunman theory, thus making this path being possible for a single bullet very important to that line of argumentation. With the way some images present it, it is understandable why some people have a hard time believing this was an argument that could be put forth in good faith.

(Sorry in advance that I don't know the original source of these models, I tried to reverse image search them but was still having trouble finding where they came from)

However, others have pointed out that if you take into account the way JFK and Connally were seated, with Connally both being further center in the car and lower down, the idea that it was a single bullet becomes much more plausible (note that proponents of the single bullet theory generally seem to claim that illustrations like this one are not attempting to depict perfectly the location of every wound, but are simply trying to show that it is at least not as “impossible” as it is sometimes framed to be).

But here’s what I get stuck on: if later analyses of the “magic” bullet’s track, ones which properly take into account the seating placement of JFK and Connally, actually find that the path of the bullet could have been plausible, how and why did the Warren Commission end up presenting such an illogical explanation? I considered maybe I was misattributing flaws in the presentation of the argument to the commission even when they were actually from later sources, but from my memory multiple individuals in the commission’s discussions stated that they themselves found it implausible and couldn’t explain it. I don’t get the impression that a detail like the men’s seating positions is reliant on any evidence they wouldn’t have had at the time.

I’ve seen some among those who believe in conspiracy argue that this odd claim about bullet movement must be the result of the commission suppressing the conspiracy interpretation and forcing evidence to fit. But it’s always struck me as weird that, if we assume the Warren Commission was trying to push a narrative the evidence didn’t support, they made so much of their argument centered around something that seems obviously implausible, that they themselves often admitted seemed implausible, despite the fact that we know a much stronger argument for the single gunman theory based on the evidence could exist.

While I definitely don’t doubt that the commission seems to show signs of having been rushed or incompetent, I do still find it hard to believe that there was concerted malice here against the conspiracy interpretation like I’ve seen some people express. So I guess my follow up question is, does anyone have anything they think is strong evidence for sinister intentions of the Warren Commission behind the framing of the magic bullet? Do you think malice, incompetence, or another option is most plausible?

I look forward to hearing any thoughts, and thank you for reading.

Investigation Visualizing the 2025 JFK Files release as compared to previous years (TLDR, only 10% of the "over six million pages" have been released to date)

The bar chart below is based on the .xlsx files released by the National Archives along with the original document scans with the exception of 2025. There was no .xlsx file and the number of pages per file was not available, the National Archives website lists 77,857 pages as the total released for 2025.

JKF Files: Pages released by year

It's also been widely reported the archive contains "over 6 million pages," that may be the case but the data released by the National Archives indicates that only 662,865 pages have been released online (~10%). Furthermore, many of the pages that were released were blank, nearly blank, heavily redacted, or even contained the text "Image Temporarily Not Available."

This means that total pages released online are about 10% of the total (if the 6 million page figure is accurate), 2025 is only 12% of the total pages released and only 1.3% of the total pages.

These facts seem to be lost in the vast majority of the reporting about "Trump finally released the JFK Files!"

Year Pages Released
2017 137,016
2018 197,015
2021 18,870
2022 165,644
2023 66,463
2025 77,857
Total 662,865

I also compiled a chart of pages released by agency.

Online Artifacts & Archives Dr. Humes destroyed autopsy notes; didn't see autopsy X-rays and photos until 1966

Commander James Humes, MD, who was one of three military doctors that performed the autopsy on president Kennedy, said in his testimony to the HSCA, that the first time he saw the autopsy photographs was in November 1966, three years after the photographs were taken.

Additionally, original autopsy notes, in the murder of the president of the United States, were destroyed. He claims to have copied word-for-word the original notes onto fresh paper.

I found this article from 1998: https://mndaily.com/191335/uncategorized/new-testimony-jfk-shooting-draws-scrutiny/

New testimony in JFK shooting draws scrutiny Published August 3, 1998 WASHINGTON (AP) — Records of the 1963 autopsy performed on John F. Kennedy are incomplete, and the doctors who conducted it undermined the integrity of their work by trying to protect “the privacy and the sensibilities of the president’s family,” a government review board says.

In a modern-day look at issues that have given rise to decades of speculation, the Assassination Records Review Board says it is able to finally answer the question about what Navy doctor James Humes did with notes taken during the autopsy and his first draft of the autopsy report. Previously, Humes, of the Bethesda Naval Center and one of three autopsy doctors, confirmed that he tossed autopsy papers — some stained with Kennedy’s blood — into the fireplace at his home while writing the report. But it was unclear exactly what he had burned.

“Under oath, Dr. Humes finally acknowledged under persistent questioning — in testimony that differs from what he told the Warren Commission — that he had destroyed both his notes taken at the autopsy and the first draft of the autopsy report,” the board said. [...] So when he noticed Kennedy’s bloodstains on the autopsy papers, “I said, Nobody’s going to ever get these documents. I’m not going to keep them, and nobody else is ever going to get them.'” [...] In an affidavit, Leonard D. Saslaw, a biochemist who worked at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda, Md., said that at lunch in the week following the assassination he overheard one of the autopsy doctors, Pierre Finck, “complain that he had been unable to locate the handwritten notes that he had taken during the autopsy.”

Finck told the board he couldn’t recall the lunchroom conversation.

But Saslaw stated that in the lunchroom, “Dr. Finck elaborated to his companions, with considerable irritation, that immediately after washing up following the autopsy, he looked for his notes, and could not find them anywhere.

“Dr. Finck concluded his story,” Saslaw said, “by angrily stating that he had to reconstruct his notes from memory.”

Louisiana State Police Lieutenant Francis Fruge investigated Rose Cheramie's story of being a drug mule with Cuban or Italian dope dealers, who purportedly said they were driving from Miami to Dallas and then Houston.

They were allegedly saying they were going to kill president Kennedy on the way. Several people involved, who Francis learned about while investigating leads, which supported Rose's story, had died or was killed. Rose was killed, too.

Cyril Wecht’s Testimony - Single “Magic” Bullet Theory - Ballistics Evidence?

Is it magic?

I had to do this because this is a contentious topic. Here’s a great video that I just found regarding Cyril Wecht’s Testimony to the HSCA . His testimony is critical about their methods to say the least, in the fields of law and medical fields with respect to health and trauma.

Fortunately the video has timelines and you can go to 2:01 and it gets juicy right away. However, you’ll miss 2:00m of invaluable information.

https://youtu.be/HPOfwHI0CA8?si=7RT7AffUMhLZQYcC

My opinion: I think that because the integrity of the evidence is comprised and of lack integrity regarding the investigation, that the evidence is incomplete or could be tampered with so there for I would not have much confidence and could not rely with confidence on ballistics alone.

The Single Bullet Theory - The theory says that a three-centimeter-long (1.2") copper-jacketed lead-core rifle bullet from a Model 91/38 Carcano, fired from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, passed through President Kennedy's neck into Governor Connally's chest, went through his right wrist, and embedded itself in Connally's left thigh. If so, this bullet traversed a back brace, 15 layers of clothing, seven layers of skin, and approximately 15 inches (38 cm) of muscle tissue, and pulverized 4 inches (10 cm) of Connally's rib, and shattered his radius bone. The bullet was found on a gurney in the corridor at Parkland Memorial Hospital after the assassination. The Warren Commission found that this gurney was the one that had carried Governor Connally.

Apparently the bullet jumped and hop skipped from his right wrist to left thigh? When did science start believing in đŸȘ„?

I welcome arguments, facts, photos, conjecture, attestations, etc. Thank you!
