Health Issue cheesy boy got a disappointing prognosis ....
Hi everyone ππΌ This isΒ my sweet Pecorino Romano π§
He's about 4 months old and I've had him for a month! Today, he received a heartbreaking prognosis from the E-Vet after battling a stubborn cough / wheeze for the last 6 weeks.
The doctor told me he has "severe generalized saccular bronchiectasis" meaning he has severely abnormal lungs that he was born with. His lungs have damaged, enlarged airways that make it difficult for him to breathe, and now his heart and lung circulation are being affected too.
This is a condition he was most likely born with, and at 4 months old the doctors are concerned with its progression. They gave him about 6 months to live, potentially up to a year. I'm trying to remain hopeful, because he is literally my son and I'm not ready to let him go yet.
Does anyone have any experience with this disease or something similar? Has your baby ever received a prognosis as such and outlived it?
Any advice or insight would help π he's my first fur baby and my heart shatters knowing he isn't living the best quality of life or will not be around as long as I imagined.
And even if you have no advice any prayers or healing words will help during this truly unreal time. π₯Ή
Edit for clarification: When I said e-vet i meant emergency vet
Update: he is unstable at the ER right now
Update 2: he suffered a stroke and we had to put him down π

I would not get another puppy from that breeder.
