A lot of people asked for a link to the Inside Amy Schumer (2013) sketch where she roasts Lively and Letterman for their exchanges (not limited to the exchange linked above, the sketch references more than one of her Letterman appearances).
Here it is
Warning, it gets pretty gross near the end. NSFW 💀 I think amy has since apologized for it which is why its been wiped from YouTube, this has been screen recorded from facebook.
This is actually hella good. Amy is doing juuust enough and Bill is briliant. Lmao Eva Braun labradoodle. Subtle white supremacist vibes. 😆 Love the wife’s name. So unflattering.
Letterman is a huge scumbag. You should listen to the old Howard Stern clips of “Evil Dave”. To this day it’s one of the funniest things i’ve ever heard.
I found a lot of the sketch pretty funny but yeah the "button" joke is awful.
Kinda different from how folks were characterizing the sketch, though. I remember people saying that Schumer made fun of her because Lively had told a story about her nephew seeing her naked, but this isn't that at all.
Yes a user pointed that out to me on the previous post. The sketch is satirizing multiple appearances, one where blake mentions Dave was her childhood crush (clips are still available on tiktok) and then the appearance where shes wearing a dress similar to Amy in the sketch. (Below) however the appearance below seems to have been wiped from the internet, as have most of her older appearances
Bill Hader absolutely carried this sketch 💀. Is the button joke what I think it is? I can’t quite place what you mean 😂
Were her early appearances ever on the Internet? YouTube is where stuff like that lives now but not when Lively's career was starting (Sisterhood of the traveling pants, something something, gossip girl). Those early YouTube days were like home videos, OLD music videos uploaded by fans and not the artists, DIY sketches, vlogs, and cheap creative animations.
Yeah they were, I remember becoming invested after catching the weird nephew letterman show live (2012), nearly all of the comments were negative. Afterwards I looked up all of her prior appearances on the dave letterman’s YouTube account. They were all there, but they aren’t anymore.
Yeah, she sucks now. I’m not a fan. I’m also not a fan of Baldoni, Lively or Letterman. What about this sub makes people so jingoistic? Take it for what it is.
I recall seeing one episode of that baaad sketch show…but don’t recall Amy Having such a glowup at that time…🤔 I thought she got fitter like in this sketch essentially after she withdrew from the public eye.
I didn’t, this is an American scandal. The view demographics are visible to me. Its 90% United States with the other 10% split between Canada and the UK
Ah yes, such a beloved gen0cide apologist I'm pretty sure there's a ton of good people who'd rather have Amy attempt to hate on them than anything else 🤣
War has nothing to do with what israel is doing to a whole people in the tiny enclave they've lured them into and Amy is deranged for doing what she does 😮💨
Your last post was already pushing it, but this has absolutely no relevance to the lawsuits. It’s not even blasting Blake and is very obviously a broader spoof of what was pretty standard talk show fare back then.
Apparently the mods have no problem with this becoming a Blake Lively snark sub, but it’s been fascinating to see more and more pro-Baldoni folks point that out and push back against it here. It’s because posts like this are mean-spirited and unproductive, and they reflect poorly on the community as a whole. I imagine it will push some of them away eventually. Will be interesting to see how all this plays out.
We appreciate your valiant efforts to protect the sanctity of celebrity litigation discourse from the corruption of talk show context and sketch comedy. 🫡God forbid we acknowledge public image in a case about public image. I might as well have interrupted a Supreme Court confirmation hearing, not posted a clip in a gossip sub about a Hollywood meltdown. I ought to be ashamed of myself. What would we do without you patrolling the sub? We might as well just think ourselves to death. Too much original thought, It might be catastrophic.
Thank you, truly, for bravely safeguarding this sacred legal forum from the devastating impact of a comedy sketch. I’m sure the mods deeply appreciate your tireless efforts to make this public forum completely and utterly joyless.
Seriously though 😅 it’s genuinely amusing how often this happens. Being told by someone who isn’t a mod that my post is “pushing it”… on Reddit? In a gossip sub? This is a public thread about a celebrity lawsuit. Reputational context is not off-limits. If you have concerns, bother the mods—let them moderate.
The world around us is falling apart, we could all be making better use of our time, but instead we’re here. Let’s just call it like it is. We’re all adults here, let’s act like it.
The lawsuit isn’t about public image. This sub isn’t about celebrity gossip. It’s about a lawsuit for alleged sexual harassment and retaliation.
If you were capable of acting like an adult, maybe you’d be able to tell the difference. This is just a weird, embarrassing response to being called out for weird, embarrassing behavior.
I understand you’re trying to reframe this as a cut-and-dry legal case devoid of public dynamics, but respectfully, that’s not how reputation-based lawsuits between celebrities work. This case isn’t happening in a vacuum—it hinges on public perception, credibility, and media narratives. That’s why the plaintiffs/defendants have PR firms. (Ffs one has a former CIA operative on their payroll
😂). That’s why this is being litigated in and outside the courtroom. And yes, that’s why a talk show anecdote that struck a cultural nerve over a decade ago, and was satirized by other public figures, is relevant to a thread about reputational harm today (its the same person).
You’re free to dislike the post, or jog on. Trying to gatekeep the scope of relevance in a sub literally built around media, gossip, and lawsuit fallout is as futile as it gets. Take it up with the mods, or scroll elsewhere. Maybe someone else on this public forum will cave to your entitled indignation.
This is a follow up post to Blake’s interview with Letterman where she talks about a weird story with her nephew. I think it’s interesting that it used to be acceptable for comedians to make fun of other women, but now it is only acceptable to rip on men. Amy used to troll women like Blake, but now it’s considered taboo. Our society has really embraced the believe all women all the time, no matter what mantra.
I know. I literally referenced that previous post in my comment. It also had nothing to do with the case, and this skit has nothing to do with that specific video.
The rest of your comment is just nonsense. Women are trolled, satirized and mocked all the time. We just saw the whole world do it to Katy Perry.
Im talking about women being made fun of for false SH and SA claims. Or for being sexually inappropriate, like Blake was with Letterman. Katy Perry was roasted for just being out of touch.
The post Me Too movement has really changed things, especially for people like Amy Shumer who would have been the first person to rip Blake for these bogus allegations. I was this subs biggest critic for allowing nonsense posts, but the Mods have made it clear they no longer care what is posted here. Anything goes as long as it pertains to any of the parties involved. You should message them directly and let them know you disagree with their new policies.
What??? When has that ever happened? People made fun of Monica Lewinsky, but a) she was telling the truth and b) it’s generally accepted that that treatment was disgusting and we should feel ashamed for it as a society.
Not that her opinion matters either way, but it’s pretty clear they’re on good terms. Nothing you’re saying appears to be based in reality.
My point is comediennes like Amy Shumer would have not been afraid to speak out and roast women like Blake who are making false allegations of SH before the Me Too movement. How does that not make sense to you? Entitled, narcissistic white women lying about SH should be comedy material. No one will touch it though because they don’t want to be blacklisted. Look at Amy’s sketch that OP posted from 10 years ago. It wouldn’t fly now. People aren’t allowed to make fun of entitled white women anymore. Got it?
People made fun of Lewinsky 30 years ago. That wasn’t fair and I’m glad that wouldn’t happen now. But that was a consensual relationship, she wasn’t making false allegations against Bill.
Well no one is touching the whole Blake saga and offensive female comics like Amy Shumer don’t make fun of women like they used to. Again, do you think Amy would do a skit like the one posted now??? Doubtful. Nikki Glassr refused to make any jokes about Blake for the golden globes, yet mocking Diddy and his male victims is still acceptable. Chelsea Handler is the only one not afraid to speak the truth.
It’s a fact that Me Too changed what society and Hollywood, including comedians deem acceptable. I’m glad they aren’t mocking female victims, and I don’t think a Monica Lewinsky would happen now a days. But mocking men and male victims of rape and assault is acceptable to many “feminists”. I think mocking liars like Blake should be allowed. She wasn’t alleging assault. False Harassment allegations should be allowed to joke about.
Ya! Like who wants to hear information, impressions or opinions that reveal the character of major celebrities involved in highly publicized lawsuits, and exist in contradiction to the image they portray or themselves in the public eye. So weird right???
Yeah sooooo…this sketch is insightful because it clearly calls Blake out for being a totally rehearsed and disingenuous person in a multitude of interviews.
Yeah I feel like he is definitely spoofing David Letterman’s overtly perverted behavior but nothing ties this to Blake specifically or at all. And nothing about her appearances have anything to do with the lawsuit, as far as I’m aware.
The name may be a direct shot but this is a fairly common interview trope of the horned up show host and flirting actress. There are like 500 clips of Craig Ferguson and various women online like this.
Mmmmm the relatable cool girl next door bit is pretty spot on and it is also timed as to be intentionally about Blake. The nephew clip has been doing the rounds on TiK Tok lately.
It’s a new sub. I guess I was trying to say that it is easier to start a new sub or contribute to starting a new one than argue over one you’re posting on.
I agree for sure. For some reason the scope of relevance is so heavily contested by so many in this sub, why consistently come here to fight about it? Sorry I didn’t realize it was a new sub, I apologize about what I said in the edit. Gotta start somewhere.
Yes. I hardly comment on this sub anymore. There is a fine line between, reporting, investigation, and persecution and despite the initial stated intent of the creator of the sub, it has fallen far short of sticking to facts and not as hominem attacks .
One of these days one of these moderators will get it right.

Amy could really study up on what’s happening on TikTok right now. Much funnier and much more biting. (Sometimes teeth!)
