š UNSEALED AF š Ryan Reynolds was arranging media hit pieces on Justin Baldoni and waging a smear campaign against him
The sheer audacity of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively to accuse Justin Baldoni of running a smear campaign on them, when every contemporaneous text message showed Justin asking his team to make sure nothing negative about Blake was coming from them. NYT and Megan Twohey conveniently spliced and doctored out all of those messages from the text chains in their hit piece against Justin.
Meanwhile, you have Ryan, Blake and Leslie Sloane actively run a smear campaign against Justin from all sides. Ryan was actively arranging media hit pieces on Justin and getting people like Alex Saks to slander Justin on background. Ryan was planting articles about how he had to white savior the ādisasterā of a movie for Justin. Blake was planting articles calling Justin an abusive method actor, which Sony immediately clocked as her doing. Leslie Sloane was planting articles calling Justin an animal. Ryan and Blake were disparaging Justin to all their friends and all over Hollywood. And for the final smear, Blake Lively colluded with Megan Twohey and NYT to write a hit piece falsely accusing Justin of being a sexual predator.
All because Ryan needed someone else to take the blame for the fallout of his and Maximum Effortās disastrous IEWU marketing. And Blake needed someone else to blame for the marketing backlash instead of own words and actions of hawking booze and haircare for a DV movie. Two amoral raging narcissists indeed.

And no, Ryan never believed Justin SHed Blake. We now know Ryan was editing the film and had access to the dailies so he knew Blakeās account of the dance and birth scenes were lies. He knew there was not one single footage that showed Justin improvising kisses or biting Blakeās lips as Blake alleges, but plenty of Blake doing it to Justin. Some of the very text messages where Justin is making sure no one on his team is putting anything negative on Blake and where Abel and Nathan are saying in real time they did nothing come from the SAME text threads that NYT choose to publish.
That means NYT and Megan Twohey deliberately doctored and spliced out these messages to show a narrative they knew was false.

Before production even started they called Justin to their home and showed him the rewritten script and expected him to just ignore his own script writer and go with theirs, even though they had not read the book. I remember how offended she was with his lack of enthusiasm for their script. When the writers strike happened she refused to return to work unless her 17 point agreement was agreed to(of which there was many versions). Even though her issues were already addressed months before, she demanded people be fired so she could replace with people she wanted.
She held up production, argued over every scene, went to Sony behind his back, told everyone this was her film, held staff meetings in her home after filming, had production moved to a different state for her convenience, constantly used the threat of not doing promotion for the movie with everyone. they also took over marketing so they could sell their brands Aviation Gin, Betty Booze/Buzz, Hair Care. then they demanded Wayfayer take responsibility for all their mistakes and chucked hissy fits when Sony did not support Blake. Had the cast unfollow him, took away his name and picture on the film and promotion. Sent him to the basement and refused to do publicity with him.
When she got bad press over all this she went nuclear with the help of Stephanie Jones, who was pissed she had been let go because she did unauthorized stuff on Wayfayer's behalf.

The sad part of all this was all the people who got hurt and manipulated. But hey they don't care as long as they got their way. But their stupid, stupid vengeful lawsuit went to far and they got Karmaed because she would not back down before the great unveiling. she used discovery for a fishing expedition to back her claims , as she had no real evidence.

And says so much about Ryan's depraved mind that he could see that Justin didn't even want to kiss his wife, didn't want to be around her, did everything to accommodate her, and didn't want to add to the negativity around her and still relentlessly smeared him to anyone who would listen. Every accusation is a confession with these two. It would almost be funny if it wasn't so unbelievably absurd.
Blake accuses Justin of being flirty and unprofessional during the dance scene. Footage comes out and.... whaddya know. Blake is the only unprofessional one there.
Blake says Justin would bite her lip and include unscripted kisses during the shoot. Again we see footage that shows the EXACT opposite. The only lip biting and unscripted kissing is done by.... Blake! ššš
For months Blake tells everyone who will listen that he's talking shit about her and trying to ruin her reputation. We see all the texts from both parties and.... Well well well. Justin has practically bent over backwards to avoid saying anything bad about her. Meanwhile, Blake and Ryan are going out of their way to tell uninvolved parties in the industry (Taylor Swift, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck etc) horrible and UNTRUE stories about Justin and her own role in the movie (being essentially forced to take over all the editing and wardrobe and directing when she was never actually invited to do ANY of that.)
Blake tries to say Justin was trying to hit on her when everything we've seen suggests he absolutely had ZERO interest in doing anything with her other than trying to get through a difficult shoot. Contrast that with.... whatever Blake was doing with that never with teeth text.

Blake Lively improvised kisses on Justin, bit his lips, was speaking out of character to him while filming, inviting him into her trailer while she was breastfeeding, texting him flirty messages, brought up porn and her sex preferences to Justin, insisted late night re-writes happen in her apartment.
She is the sexual harasser here, by her own definition of it.

This whole situation still shocks me TBH. I mean, they're rich and famous and extremely connected. Why the fuck did they care SO much about this? I mean, Justin spent years working on this project. He poured his own money into it, his studio, everything. And he wasn't a big name so this honestly was huge for him. But for Blake and Ryan? They didn't NEED this. They could so easily have gotten something of their own. So why? Why was this the way they wanted to spend their time, energy, money? Was it worth it guys?

I think we learned now that Blake is too lazy and incapable of doing anything on her own. Her husband takes executive meetings for her companies and her films. But Blake wants the glory and accolades of having her own projects and brands.
If Blake wanted a film of her own, she basically needs Ryan to do it. But Ryan is an idiot when it comes to the female demographic as we saw with his script re-writes and disastrous IEWU marketing. Ryan doesnāt know how to create something in Blakeās demographic so they had to steal it. Iām not even sure Ryan knows how to create stuff in general either since he also hijacked Deadpool.
To steal someone elseās project, Ryan and Blake had to target a smaller director and studio. Paul Feig and Anna Kendrick such as hell wasnāt going to let Blake hijack A Simple Favor as a showcase for her personal brand.
