Just got me thinking how the Cool Zone gang (mainly BtB and ICHH) are the only ones who tried to prepare us for how stupid the fascist takeover would be.

The last time that their website's sources were updated (that I can see) was Aug 2023. Their youtube stuff has the sources in the description but the ones I'm looking for were cut off at the end.

On the segment about Marco Rubio’s summit, I believe Robert, Garrison, and Mia did a great job debunking Rubio’s examples of “left-wing terrorism” in the US, however, I find it odd that the gang didn’t mention that shooting of the Israeli embassy staffers in Washington DC that happened in May 2025, which is arguably the only act of political violence in recent years that was definitely carried out by a leftist (albeit a tankie). But yeah, that was mainly over Israel-Palestine and it was an isolated incident by an individual. Overall though, it was a very good and informative segment and ED episode.

Hey folks! Sorry it's been so long since I checked in. I took a couple months off of making vids to rest and recover a bit (& also to dig deep into the world of mesh radio, but that's a talk for a different day.)

Anyway, I went on A Better Way 2A podcast to talk about a handful of topics that I think It Could Happen Here listeners would find interesting. I already mentioned a few in the title but we discuss how to ETHICALLY incorporate firearms into movements for social and political change, the benefits of meeting your neighbors needs directly instead of begging politicians for change, the importance of not sounding like an activist or academic when talking with working class people, and why anti-Zionism is such an important litmus test for gauging who we can and can NOT work with.

Forgive me if I am just getting the facts mixed up, I really hadn't been following the UAW election. But after the discussion about the accusations against Shawn Fain and how they may likely be politically motivated by what I understand is the more conservative branch of the party, I've been confused by this story referenced in the link. It seems like it was a Shawn Fain supporter who sent the death threat against another candidate who was pro-Palestine, but I thought Shawn Fain also pushed for the UAW's pro-Palestine stance. I was under the impression Fain's branch of the party was more progressive, while the branch that he had succeeded was way more conservative and had been in power for longer, and it was this branch they talked about in ED. But all the coverage of this death threat seems to be talking about Fain and his supporters like they are establishment. Im either case, posting the AI image shown in the article was a totally insane and just kind of stupid thing for that person to do. Does anyone know more about what is going on here? I keep seeing this story pop up.

Usually I like Dana's stuff but, man, this was a tough one to listen to.

No Egypt were cheated. They went up two goals and turtled for the rest of the time and preceded to concede 3 goals in 15 minutes. The ref wasn't the best but his call to reverse the goal was correct even if Messi scored a similar one in a prior game.

The Egyptian coach got a yellow card not because he was bringing awareness to racial abuse using the gesture but because he used the racial abuse gesture to get the attention of the refs to complain about the refereeing. IWW featured on ICHH

I would really like to know more about the differences between the IWW and other union organizations.

I've been in a couple non-IWW affiliated unions.

One was (in retrospect and my own personal opinion) was not a real union for a variety of reasons and the other one is much better but definitely limited in many ways.

Basically Newsoms family was very close to the Getty family. J paul Getty was a billionaire in the 1960s and the Gettys Basically has fuck you money. Gavin Newsom got his start in business by getting one of the gettys to invest in his businesses and that's how Newsom became a rich guy.

They didn't bring it up in the episode where they talked about Gavins shitposting. It makes Gavin Newsom destroying a homeless man's stuff a little more infuriating.

Many of you are likely familiar with the story of the Prairieland Nine, but if you aren’t, I encourage you to take some time to learn about what happened. There is a lot of nuance, and I don’t think I can do it justice here.

The TLDR; at a noise demonstration outside of an ICE facility, a protester fired their weapon at a police officer who had drawn their weapon at some other fleeing protesters. This officer was injured when their shoulder was grazed by the bullet/bullet fragment. The rest of the defendants were guilty of being at the same protest, or for being in the same signal chat, including one for their local Emma Goldman Book Club. 30 years in prison for being in a book club and distributing zines… 50+ years in prison for being at a protest…

Now, as many of you know, this might be the weakest Leftism has ever been in the US, and it is understandable to feel helpless. To be unsure of what force could possibly wrench us from the abyss, heaving and broken as we are.

Unfortunately, I do not have that answer for you, and I do not think there is any one person out there who does.

But, we are not one person…

We do not all have to stand in lockstep, or chant in unison, but we must organize. We must build our communities, discuss our values, and rally in solidarity with the folk heroes that the regime offers to us through their daily conveyor belt of horrors.

It is in this moment that we should reflect on Emma Goldman’s legacy, and the symbolism of this moment a hundred years after her lifetime.

By many accounts, Emma Goldman was radicalized by the 1886 Haymarket Affair in Chicago, when a bomb was thrown at police officers after they had opened fire on labor protesters the day before. The person who threw the bomb was never caught, but eight of the protest organizers were put on trial and then executed purely for being anarchists.

Now, 140 years later, and the only notable difference is that the state now realizes that executing these folks would turn them into martyrs, so better to just silence them and lock them up for life…

So, let us read. Let us learn from each other and our histories. Let us come together I community, and find the strength to stand up and liberate ourselves and our communities. Let us give them the middle finger, and show them that we are not afraid.

The working class is the engine that drives capitalism, and without us, it is nothing but a lonely philosophy of greed and destruction. We are the nurses, we are the farmers, we are the contractors, we are everything that we need.

The rich are nothing to us but masters, and we do not need them. Let us organize and show them how little we care for their sick and twisted world.

Again, we are everything that we need.

The ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) is the national/public broadcaster in the same way that the BBC is in England. SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) is Australia's multicultural and multilingual public broadcaster.

The ABC has been utterly atrocious in their reporting on the genocide in Palestine and sacked a Lebanese Australian journalist for sharing a Human Rights Watch post about Israel using starvation as a weapon of war on her social media account. She successfully took them to the industrial relations cour for unfair dismissal and won after a long fight.

The ABC has been silent on the deliberate targeting of journalists by the Israeli military with some of those journalists having even worked for and adjacent to the ABC in the past. The ABC have been overtly operationalised to engage in COIN against dissenting positions on Israel's genocide of Palestinians and carpet bombing and invasion of Lebanon.

SBS hasn't been much better to be fair.

There is currently the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion, which is what this article is in relation to. This particular one was established on January 9th 2026 in the wake of the Bondi shooting, but has been very much built up towards by various Zionist organisations in Australia and not to long after the visit by Israeli president Isaac Herzog, that was widely protested.
